As someone who has to work inside the environment of a state Bureaucracy in emergency and disaster management, I am well aware of FOIA rules, and ethics laws. When an executive staff is spending more than 80% of their daily time dealing with repeat and frivolous FOIA requests, they can’t accomplish anything else. Sarah made a tough choice that hurt her personally, but HELPED the state she had sworn to serve. In leaving she did the best thing for Alaska, she put the people first.
