Couldn't post USA Today piece here so I found a way around it. Townhall has link to Romney's full remarks.
This guy is so doomed. He has no way to attack the number one Achilles Heel of Obummer with the disaster he produced in MA. He needs to go away and write books on fly fishing.

It's just a damn shame that the only thing you will have a shot of being president of is your Home Owner's Association.
Now pi$$ off Mitt.......

You are 100% correct. He has ZERO chance of winning the nomination. But I also thinks he needs to get out of the race before the GOP field becomes clear. He's just muddying the waters..
Here's a thought. Assume Daniels enters, and Barbour endorses him immediately. In July, Christie endorses Daniels, and on Labor Day, Romney withdraws in favor of Mitch. That woudl do it, IMHO..

Can’t the next prez just do one waiver; everyone!

Romney can't undo the hated RomneyCARE.
Instead, the small coward fled to Michigan, NH, Utah,
Mexico, and now Michigan.

I have no doubt the Dems are wetting themselves in hopes he’ll be the nominee for the Rep. side of the aisle. There’s no way lib light can beat hardcore lib. At least not historically, and Romney ripped his pants with Romneycare. He has no credibility now on one of the biggest messes this nation overwhelmingly wants repealed.

NOW THAT is definitely a very courageous thing to say. </sac>

He may not have a prayer, but I’m glad he’s laying down this marker, since all the other candidates will have to match or beat it. It’s a clever idea to instantly issue an executive order giving all states a waiver: he has that authority and it means he has the upper hand when it comes to repeal no matter how obstructionist Dems care to be.

Sorry, Mitt . . . your love affair with government-run health care and your loving endorsement of homosexual activist says it all for me. Can’t think of anything you could do or say to change my mind.

I hate to sound so negative BUT ObamaCare will be rolling along pretty strongly by 2012. It will be next to impossible to repeal it because by then you will be TAKING AWAY something someone had given to them. The Courts need to rule on the Constitutionality of it but even then there will be appeals.
I hope I am wrong.

I got a canned phone call today from the DNC asking some questions about the upcoming special election in the NY 26th district.
Interestingly, the last question they asked was if the 2012 election was held tomorrow, would I vote for Obama (press 1), or Romney (press 2).
I pressed 3.

"empower the states to determine their own health care futures."
I'm guessing that means Federal Rules, Oversight, Mandates and Money.
Not interested.

Medical care in the state of MA is in a state of decay. Primary Care Docs are going away in droves. Hospitals are laying people off left and right.
It is only getting worse. Every day.
Mitt Romney will never be President. He will get ripped apart in the primaries. He should save everyone the time and money and just go home.
