Romney Says He'd Undo ObamaCare First if President (Pot Meet Kettle)

A GOP frontrunner in the party's 2012 primary with a checkered past on health care, Mitt Romney produced a rather bold headline today with his op-ed in the USA Today: As first act, out with ObamaCare.

"Health care is more than just one-sixth of the American economy. It is a source of well-being for individuals and families. We are blessed with much that is good in American health care. But we have taken a turn for the worse with ObamaCare, with its high taxes and vastly expanded federal control over our lives. I believe the better course is to empower the states to determine their own health care futures."

Historically, most folks dislike for Romney has less to do with healthcare than it does with his flip-flops on *every single issue.* Which, I guess, now includes healthcare. He just can’t be trusted.

"empower the states to determine their own health care futures."

I'm guessing that means Federal Rules, Oversight, Mandates and Money.

Not interested.

Why not go all the way and try full communism at the state level? By your logic, that’s what private enterprise does.

(Jeesh!)

Medical care in the state of MA is in a state of decay. Primary Care Docs are going away in droves. Hospitals are laying people off left and right.

It is only getting worse. Every day.

Mitt Romney will never be President. He will get ripped apart in the primaries. He should save everyone the time and money and just go home.

Problem is Romney does not believe it didn’t work and he has no idea what a conservative idea is. Remember, the liberals try stuff all the time. Just like Romney, they keep talking it up whether it works or not. Romney is very proud of Romneycare. He gladly takes responsibility for it. He believes it is a huge success. It does not matter to him that it “mandates” free people to make a purchase, removes personal responsibility from the equation, pays for abortions, or requires handouts from the federal govt to “work.”

It will be next to impossible to repeal it because by then you will be TAKING AWAY something someone had given to them.

I don't think so. Repeal numbers are still north of 60% which show that the regime blew it when they rammed it through. They assumed that it would become popular after passage or at the very least people wouldn't care. Wrong. Everyone is getting hit with higher premiums and more BS trying to get care. This is going to be a rough issue for the Obummer in '12 and if it isn't stopped in the courts, it will be expected of the new Pres to end it immediately.

I suppose we’ll see Mutt next at the gun range with a Bushmaster.

He's working on it. He is just not sure which gun to pick. He needs to chose something to satisfy both the Bushmaster fans and it's detractors.

He tried something; it didn’t work.

All fine and good, but Myth refuses to admit anything is wrong in MA. He continually blames the worst parts of it on others even though last month the Liberal professor who help craft it with Romney said point blank that he wanted single payer and all the problems he blames on others, he put in himself. He will go to his grave touting the greatness of this disaster.

If you take note of the papers on Myths desk in his Gov portrait, they are the Romneycare bill. He is so attached to this turkey he had it put in his portrait with his wife for posterity. There are no regrets from him.

Good!!! The Republicans need to hold fast on NOT raising the debt ceiling & defunding Obamacare as it goes!!! Until it can be repealed that is. Also Rat out all the ones that got waivers & expect us taxpayers to foot the bill while they get off free a while. I hope there are enough patriots to do this!!!

James Madison - Federalist #45:
“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the Federal Government, are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State Governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; with which last the power of taxation will for the most part be connected. The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects, which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people; and the iternal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.”

Governor Mitt Romney has signed into law a permanent assault weapons ban that he says will make it harder for criminals to get their hands on these guns. "Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts," Romney said, at a bill signing ceremony on July 1 with legislators, sportsmen's groups and gun safety advocates. "These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people."

Sorry, Mutt. No way, no how.

The backstabbing, IAG-loving, bastard Romney
is WORSE than Obama.

His RomneyBOTs here LOVE Romney's "knives"
taken from the backs of Gov. Palin and her children.
To a RomneyBOT, that backstabbing makes Romney: "NEXT".

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"
