Well, since OBL was buried at sea, Did he get disappointed with virgins or mermaids?
Very good question! :)
Having played intercollegiate soccer, Ive never lost my love for The Beautiful Game. I especially enjoy watching the English Premier League. One reason is the skill and speed with which the game is played there. Also, I love the way the fans sing in support of their beloved sides. For instance, Liverpool has for years had Youll Never Walk Alone as its theme. How moving to hear 50,000 fans rise as one to sing the lyrics of that old standard! Its an encouragement to players and fans alike that together they will see each other through to the end. Walk alone? Never.
This sentiment has meaning for everyone. Because each of us is made for community, isolation and loneliness are among the most painful of human experiences. During painful times, our faith is vital.
The child of God never needs to fear abandonment. Even if people turn on us, friends forsake us, or circumstances separate us from loved ones, we are never alone. God has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you (Heb. 13:5). This is not just a nice tune or clever lyrics offering an empty sentiment. It is the promise of God Himself to those who are the objects of His love. He is thereand He isnt going away.
With Christ, you will never walk alone.
Read: Hebrews 13:1-8
Thank you for our beautiful lesson from God’s Word, Rus. Knowing that He is near gives me peace.
Thank you, dear Kitty! She is such a happy baby and going through the sweetest stage at this point. Of course they go through lots of stages as they grow. I only hope she never loses that sweetness. Appreciate you! (((((Kitty)))))
Thanks Pam! I never get tired of posting a picture of her, of course! Since Amy said it was “Baby Day”, I had a good opportunity...(not that I need it!)
AMEN to that!
I know exactly what you mean, Jane! I haven't done any real shopping in a long time for clothes, although I'm needing a few things. Most clothes for me are either too 'young and teenage looking' or 'older frumpy looking things'! Some don't seem to care as you said. I wear mostly knits for everyday around the house and they look good enough to run to the store in and they are comfy! I need a couple of new ones at this time.
I wear dress slacks for going to the mall or going to lunch, etc. I did wear a skirt outfit with a cute jacket for Easter Sunday. (something I already had.)
Good luck on your trip, Jane. Bet you dread all the pat-downs! I only fly when absolutely necessary and its been a couple of years of no flying for me!
A mechanic who worked out of his home had a dog named Mace. Mace had a bad habit of eating all the grass in the mechanic's lawn, so the mechanic had to keep Mace inside. The grass eventually became overgrown.
One day the mechanic was working on a car in his backyard and dropped his wrench losing it in the tall grass. He couldn't find it for the life of him, so he decided to call it a day.
That night, Mace escaped from the house and ate all the grass in the backyard. The next morning the mechanic went outside and saw his wrench glinting in the sunlight. Realizing what had happened he looked up to the heavens and proclaimed......
He proclaimed: "A grazing Mace, how sweet the hound, that saved a wrench for me!"
