My mom, Mrs. SandRat went to visit him this morning and he was sitting in a chair! Yet another milestone in his recovery. They tried to get him started with rehabilitation and found very quickly that he can’t do it like he thought. Maybe tomorrow he’ll be able to get up and around on his own. Once he can do that, he will be discharged and able to go home.
Awesome...ole “Tough-As-Nails” is getting a handle on this
recovery thing.

I just want to say, before I go to sleep, that if you get SandRat laughing, it’s all your fault.
Did I ever tell you about newly post-surgery Pete-R-Bilt and the dachshund in the life vest? Nearly killed him! He had to leave the house and walk to the end of the drive just to get away from the silliness. Albeit good exercise, he couldn’t breathe... and as we discussed earlier, breathing is highly underrated until you’re having difficulty. Of course, I had to follow Pete out there and make sure he could breathe. Heh, danged near succumbed myself. But that’s what I’m talking about, Grammie. With that, I hope you’ll behave, and SandRat will just get better every day. G’nite now.
