Vanity: What is the official FR stance on Obama's birth certificate and the 2012 election?

I'm just curious what the official Free Republic stance is on Obama's birth certificate with respect to the 2012 election. Is demanding Obama produce his long form birth certificate a requirement of every prospective candidate? Is it the litmus test for supporting a candidate? So where Mitt Romney is rightly persona non grata around here it is OK to push Donald Trump and defend his positions because he is pushing the birth certificate issue? And write off true conservatives like Mark Levin and Michele Bachmann?

I think, for me, the real issues has become Obama’s world-view, ideology and his life story and his upbringing. For me there are questions that remain unsettled. The Obama supporters have gone a long way in covering up who Obama is and what his life story has been. They won’t even say why he was chosen to be the keynote speaker at the DNC convention in 2004. Why they wanted him to run as senator and why with no experience he ran for POTUS. This man and the people around him conned the system to make Obama win in 2008. I think when the truth comes out then it won’t be pretty. As such, he might not even be qualified to have run. As such, he might not even have been born in Hawaii. I don’t know. But the media, the democrats, the republicans too, and the Obama supportes have decided they don’t care about his qualifications or past or associations and Obama gets a free pass. Well then they have no right to scrutinize anybody else. It seems to me “they” (a lot of people who got Obama elected) did this all on purpose. And that is not how the political system is supposed to work. They chose a socialist to run and win the White House and covered it up.

“There’s no reason Obama can’t provide his long form birth certificate.”

There is one reason: If it doesn’t exist, he can’t provide it!

There's no reason Obama can't provide his long form birth certificate.

There's one.

He doesn't have one.

It’s “Dreams FROM My Father.”

Changes the meaning entirely.

It would be news to me if FR had an “official opinion” on anything, save one: Don’t pi$$ Jim off. And even that rule is pretty flexible.

The father deal is quite something, because it will mean that Obama will be proven as the Sham Wow liar that he is since he used the father as a prop for his whole “STORY” then it could become a real political mess for him...

besides it also means his mom’s a hoe....

Okay... time to rephrase! ;-)

Assuming Obama has a long form birth certificate, or if he has one... there is no reason Obama can't provide his long form birth certificate. And we know that because a freeper obtained her long form birth certificate from Hawaii in October 2010 and another person obtained theirs March 2011.

Of course, Obama's NBC status is what really matters and the long form birth certificate might go a long ways in determining his NBC status, or lack there of (which is more likely due to his fathers status).

In a nutshell, of course we want the birth certificate issue settled, but chances are we will have a better chance of replacing Obama with a conservative, if we spend more time on the horrendous way he is running, and RUINING, our country, and pointing out that Obama is the problem, to as many people as we can.

I agree!
On another thought, I think the voting age should be
raised back to 21 years of age. Eighteen is too young to vote.

The Republicans run the House. They should have hearings to get to the bottom of this and determine to the best of their ability whether the President of the U.S. met eligibility requirements.

Thank you Sir! I don’t personally know what he is, other than being a prolific LIAR based on his own recorded statements made during the last several years!! But even if everything else turns out to be legal, he has still lied about, and spent millions to coverup, his background his entire life. We can never trust someone like that...EVER!!

I totally forgave you the small typo, because that was one of the best posts on any bc thread that I have yet seen.

Props also to Rational Thought for post #40. Excellent articulation of the distilled basics of this issue.

When I was younger, I probably would have agreed with that, but at the wizened age of 57, I've come to believe that the voting age should be raised to 35.

Folks need to be mugged by reality before they're given the power of the vote.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

“true” conservatives? Gee! No bias there! /s

Michele Bachmann has on more than one occasion allowed the MSM interviewer ambush her regarding Obama’s eligibility. That she was unprepared to come back strongly in defense of the Constitution is more than enough to convince me that she is in NO way ready for the big leagues. If a reporter can flummox her what will she due under real pressure?

As for Mark Levin: He has been very disappointing. Sorry, I don't trust anyone who refuses to defend **all** of the Constitution.

Now there’s quite an image. Always wanted to spend time in New England. Perhaps this fall. When we’re all nice, red states :)

Assuming Obama has a long form birth certificate

It is your prerogative to assume anything you want.

But, why would you do that? Why would you do exactly what Team Obama wants you to do?

Abercrombie settled the matter. The governor of Hawaii was unable to find Obama's birth certificate. It's settled. There is NO Obama birth certificate in Hawaii, and Democratic state government employees have been engaged in a massive, fraudulent cover-up for three years.
