What Is Your Favorite Snack Food?

Okay, you have the munchies. So WHAT is your favorite snack food? I have several favorites, some of which are a bit exotic. Here are my favorite snack foods:

Hard salami---I had some tonight. Slices in a pack.

Ritz crackers.

Vegemite---I might be the ONLY American who likes that stuff but I love it. Problem is I had a West Coast source which I don't have since I moved back to Florida.

Kabanosi---Eastern European sausage unknown to most Americans. I prefer it dried. Very garlicky and goes great with beer.

Try these:

WATER CHESTNUT AND BACON BITES

1 can (5 oz.) whole water chestnuts

1/3 strip bacon for each. (If the precooked bacon, use ½ strip).
(I recommend using the raw bacon because it stretches and easier to
pull around the chestnut.)

Wrap the bacon around the water chestnut and secure with a toothpick.

Spray baking pan with Pam non-stick spray.

Bake at 375 degrees for ½ hour until bacon is crispy. (This time will be
shorter if you use the precooked bacon).

Sauce: (enough for two cans of chestnuts)

Mix 2/3 cup brown sugar with 1 cup catsup.

After chestnuts come out of the oven, drizzle
sauce over baked chestnuts.

Bake 20 minutes more.

These can be served warm or cold. Can be kept in
Refrigerator after prepared and will be ready to serve cold.

One can of chestnuts makes one dinner-size plateful of servings.

Vegemite---I might be the ONLY American who likes that stuff...

I tried it once, it was something I thought I could get addicted to if I had it available, one of those things you either like immeidiately or don't!

This place in Cincinnati seems to sell pails of Vegemite when they are in stock but apparently not at the moment. Upon further investigation they do have the jars for sale.

There's no bacon under the meat. I feeeeeel visually cheated.

I like Pork Rinds or Fire-Cracker-Jiffy-Pop-Shrimp.

I'll definitely go with the nachos and cheese sauce IF we throw some jalapenos, crumbled bacon and sour cream on top. Guacamole, too, on the side.

Jalapenos stuffed with cheese and wrapped with bacon, broiled are also great.

Have to watch what I eat late at nite, so it's usually frosted flakes with a banana cup up in the bowl. When I want to be risky with the tummy, I may go for a hard salami sandwich on wheat bread with Miracle Whip.

PB&J on ritz crackers, takes time to make & then they go down so fast. YUM!

Open a bag of Fritos, squeeze a lime into the bag along with a healthy dose of Tabasco sauce. Close bag and give it a good shake so that every chip is seasoned.

Chase it with an ice-cold Coca Cola (the kind made with cane sugar).

This snack has everything— salt, fat, heat and sweet.

That is kind of hard to get at Speedway on Rewards but could have extras at home to add.

BYW, I call my rewards my Zimbabwe money. I have a ton of rewards. A hot dog is 900 reward points. My Zimbabwe money goes away fast.

yeah, REAL popcorn, cooked on a stove, in a pot, and served in a paper grocery bag.Real butter and real salt. There is nothing in the world better.

Lately it’s been peanut butter. On bread or on a spoon, either one works.

I used to like Cheese-Its....but I think they changed the recipe...they aren’t nearly as cheesy as they were 20+ years ago....IMHO
