Someone give Hillary Swank a sandwich.
Nowhere is safe. Too bad tv’s don’t have a Presidential popup blocker. I’m glad I don’t have a big screen tv the way Obama pops up.
indeed the irony in having Halle Berry. wax about Lena Horne and blackness
Hathaways dresses look pretty on her....sweet
King’s Speech - Best Director
Aah - I had forgotten- thanks!
The TV cameras add 50 pounds doncha know.
King’s Speech won for directing...
I never heard of the trashy actress who dropped the "F bomb" and wonder if it was a description of how she got the part. Also cannot understand why the need to have Obama tell us his favorite all time oscar song. Does anyone care? Can we puleese have a day go by where his mug isn't plastered on the screen and let him get back to the job he was hired to do.
Oprah has a stylist. Michelle does not sadly. She could be really fashionable if she wanted.
The Color Purple was COMPLETELY shut out of the Oscars, after getting 11 nominations. The Academy thought Speilberg didn’t have the pedigree to do a ‘serious’ movie. This was before “Schindler’s List”.
Well it sure is a good story, and true.
But I just don’t think I could sit through such a thing and I suspect I’d have nightmares for a month.
Same with Car=t Stevens and his warbly voice. IOW, it’s the style/voice thingie.
Did you notice Brad and Angelina don't seem to be there? Did their latest movies tank? They usually luv the red carpet. Cameron Diaz isn't there either w/her baseball guy -he's at Spring Training in Tampa now.
I didn’t see Oprah tonight but she usually dresses well to hide her girth. But she’s gotten really fat lately.
Have I mentioned that I used to own a Palomino? Never saw him eat a sandwich though.
Whoopi was wonderful too. I literally sobbed through that whole movie!
I remember people were stunned, but for a long time Spielberg was not accepted in Hollywood, they looked at him like he was a bug or soemthing, sadly I liked THAT Spielberg better than today’s Spielberg.
Well, they brought on a real singer (Celine) to sing off some greats:
* Irvin Kershner — the man who had the stones to direct Star Wars V. That may be the bravest man who ever stepped onto a set!
* Dennis Hopper (Easy Rider, more uncountable)
* Ann Francis (Forbidden Planet)
* Robert Culp (I Spy, Greatest American Hero, Everybody Loves Raymond, more uncountable)
* Lynn Redgrave (uncountable)
* Lena Horne — a complete entertainer
Those were the ones I was able to see in the tribute. Thanks to Celine for singing the song “straight” with no vamping.
IMO, it portrayed a spoiled, arrogant, amoral, avaricious genius creep and fellow greedy colleagues/enemies. And from what I’ve seen of the real Zuckerberg, I think he’s much the same. I couldn’t stand watching the brats.
I was never an oprah fan and I truly think she has done more harm than good to society but you’ve got to respect what she’s managed to accomplish.
