Mandy Moore and some guy sang a duet. They sounded really good. She has a nice voice and I like the midnight blue gown. I did like that portion of tonight’s broadcast. That’s pretty much it.
I just got home, so I'm catching up. I'm sorry the King's Speech isn't doing better. I didn't see Social Network so I can't say anything about it.
The King's Speech is a special movie. Quite inspirational...

I remember how glad when Guy Lombardo stopped doing New Years. It was time to move on.

Mitchum died at 77. After he was 70 he was in 17 pictures and three TV series, including ‘War and Remembrance’ and the remake of ‘Cape Fear’. His last part was in the year he died.
I’d rather watching people fleeing Libya than the Oscars. Everyone who gets outta Libya, good for them. Maybe they should just show the afterparties instead of the Oscars cuz it’s sooooooooooooooooo boring.

Killed by its own hype. Everyone said it is a heck of a movie. So, the Academy members decided to show that uppity upstart that being good (I haven’t seen it yet so I am speaking on how Hollywood works, not the movie itself) isn’t the point. It is being “hip” and “cool” and “in the inside lane” that gets votes.

I just want to find out tomorrow what was in their elite gift bags? I think they get Ipads and fancy stuff. This is so dull. They need to change how they do this show cuz they’re making show business look bad tonight. No wonder they voted for Obama. They’re asleep in Hollywood.

Why not ??? He got the Nobel Peace Prize for all of the peace-brokering he did in the Middle East ...
Not to mention his Super Bowl MVP trophy, winning the National AND American League batting, home runs, and hits crowns, winning the Triple Crown in horseracing, sweeping EVERY medal [Gold, Silver, AND Bronze] at the Vancouver Olympics ...
Since when? AMPAS is notoriously bowled over by traditional stuff and British films. ‘Hip’ films rarely win Best Picture.

That was Mandy Moore singing the song from “Tangled” which was really good.
If you’re gonna sing a parody, it should be long enough so that everyone gets it. It was just a throwaway moment that could have been funny.
