There is water in the pond and the Snowy Egrets can bathe again.
From the look of their plumage pairing off and nest building time is almost here. The yellow lore ahead of the eye will turn crimson when hormones reach a peak, some red is starting to show now.
I've missed my little pond, it's been dry too much this winter. The birds could ice skate on it last year, nothing but frozen mud on the cold days this year.

Thanks for the ping SWAMPSNIPER. Enjoyed as usual.
Will you trade that snow for 8” of Ohio snow?
Yeah, didn’t think so. ;-)
Thank you for the morning perfection. The Egret and the water look as if you could reach out and touch them.
Swamp, I swear, I wake up hurting, hungry, and in a bad mood, and one click later am smiling ear to ear.
Thanks. You’ve done it once again.
Beautiful, thank you!
Outside the house it’s -10° this morning and there is about 2 feet of snow on the ground. However, it’s 72° and sunny on this thread.
Good post SNIPER,
How close did you get to her?
What kind of lens and Camera?
Keep up the always great work,
Thanks
I used a Sony A-200 and a Sony 75-300 lens for these shots, from about 30 feet. You can get close if you move right.
Dear Swampsniper,
I dont always reply on your threads, but I just want you to know I appreciate them so much. Thank you very much.
God bless,
Texokie
Beautiful shots. I always look forward to these threads.
Wow...
Beautiful. A welcome diversion from all the lousy news. Thank you!
Beautiful pictures.
Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for the ping. You should be doing this professionally (if you’re not already doing so!)
thx again
Gorgeous, thank you!
I’m retired, worked long enough!!
Well I’m glad that we FReepers get the benefit from your retirement!
(it’s not work if it’s something you love and it’s quite clear you love photography) :)
Spring has really come to Florida this week.
This just proves it!
Thanks
