Really. Really. Liking what Scott Walker (GOP Guv, WI) is doing.

About time.

Time to add Guv Walker (high) on the list of potential GOP candidates for 2012.

Let Palin, Christie and the rest, demonstrate to America, how they're more qualified. :)

Much too soon. Why is everyone always in such a hurry? Let him put in a term as governor first.

I agree that he has done well so far, but he hasn’t yet shown what he will accomplish.

Will he be able to stop RINO-inclined legislators from undermining his position? Will he push this one through, and then go on to do other good stuff?

We need to see whether he can follow through, and hang tough for the long haul. And he needs to gain administrative experience.

We need a party that is full of good, strong conservative leaders at every level. Which means that they have to prove themselves over time.

You can see my “dream ticket” below, and what a great move that would be for America! Imagine 8 years with Allen as President and Scott as VP and then 8 more years with Scott as President and maybe Sarah as VP!

Making a Wisconsin Freeper ping here too. Hope all have seen this! Yes, the Union owns the health insurance company that covers the teachers! Double, double, double dipping??

Whooooaa!! step back and take a deep breath. How about giving him some time for us to find out who he really is in the long run. I remember when Colin Powell stepped up, man, I thought he was great. Turned out he was a total liberal ass. Then Condi, I was talking about her being Presidential Material. But then she came out and outed herself as an Obama lover. Then now it's Chris Christie, yeah I like him too but now there are things coming out about gun control and other matters. Better not buy the horse only to find out later he is blind in one eye.Does Scott Brown, Republican of Mass. ring a bell?

He’s doing exactly what he told us he was going to do, and exactly what we elected him to do.

It all depends on the result. If he succeeds and passes this bill - or fires all the teachers if they won’t clear the capitol - then we can begin to vet him on the other issues.

It goes to show how far the Republicans have fallen. When one actually stands for Conservatism then everyone sits up and takes notice.

Nope.

He’s needed, right where he’s at. Perhaps he’s setting examples for the other states....giving them backbones.

That is my vote....and I am TRULY sticking to it. :)

At least let us have him for four years to fix this state and get it on the right track. He’ll be more seasoned for 2016 or 2020.

Walker needs to win this fight first.

That said, for Freepers not from Wisconsin, this guy is the original tea party. Conservative to the core. The only thing he has in common with Scott Brown is the first name.

And for the Palin fans, what Walker is doing here is sort of what I think we wished Palin could done. I.e. Gotten experience on the front line governing in a true battle against the socialistic State that exists in the US. (yeah, yeah, I know she served two years as a red state governor in a red state but what Walker is doing is taking it to what is essentially a blue State)

Draft Scott Walker? Not only no, but hell no.

Sure he's doing good stuff. But 2 years as governor is not enough experience to be considering a run for the presidency. It would be irresponsible, not to mention hubristic.

So far it’s been all talk. I’ll give it to ya that he looks good, we’ll have to see.
He has the votes and should squash them like a bug! We’ll see.

Not to pop your pickle, I like what Walker is doing right now, but it's far too early to put him at the top of any list.

Do you remember the posters who said they wanted Scott Brown for president after he won?

I don't think many here would suggest that now. Let's see how he does for a couple of years, maybe he'll be a superstar candidate down the road if he continues to be successful.

I’ll be more impressed if he calls in the National Guard to restore peace and order. Fact is, so far Walker hasn’t actually accomplished much of anything. Let’s see how this all plays out.

No.

We need Scott Walker to stay where he is, and to win.

And then we need 49 more. The President cannot control the outcome in the several states, it is a waste of good executive talent to send Walker or Christie to Washington.

If what I think is going to happen does, governors are going to become incredibly important.
