Just found this on the web! It was just released.
It's the scene where Henry comes home and presents Lillian with the gift of the bracelet. And his brother demands money, but doesn't want Henry as the donor.
Very cool scene.

Making a movie of Atlas Shrugged is something that has been talked about for years. It will be interesting to see how true to the book the movie turns out to be.

Good scene. But I actually wonder if the scene is heavy-handed enough. Lord knows, Rand's book is like a sledgehammer -- very hard to miss her points. But this particular scene, when Philip wants Rearden's money but doesn't want Hank's name on a check -- I actually know people who would feel that this was a logical, practical decision by Philip and that if Hank were a decent and understanding man, he would just wire the money to Philip, as requested. It's for a good cause, you know!
The Left is convinced that they are the Good Guys. In order to show them how immoral their actions really are, you have to slam them upside the head. Hopefully, within the context of the entire movie, this scene carries the moral weight that Rand intended.

They really do seem to have this spot on.

When news of the movie came out, I couldn't help but roll my eyes, BUT the Trailer looks really cool and that scene was neat too.
However I can see it is going to be one of those movies where everyone whispers.

Thanks for posting this!
This scene was done very close to the book...it provokes the same emotions in me anyway.
I can’t wait for this.

It has been so d@mn long since I read the book, but based on that scene, if I were Hank, I would see to it that my wife began to have her life of luxury withdrawn...for her own good of course.;-)

My daughter, who is a senior in high school, first told me about this book being made into a movie last month. She is very excited about it, having read Atlas Shrugged and being an outspoken conservative in her school. She’s hoping to get her friends to see it.

Kicks the Left right where it hurts most. I love it.

BTTT. I won’t care if it is “true to the book”. As long as it is true to the concepts Ayn Rand was trying to put out. So far the trailers make the movie look good.

It looks like the movie is ‘sticking to the script’. But what I’m going to enjoy just as much as the film is the negative reviews. The mild ones we will be able to categorize as simply vicious. The tougher ones will require a vocabulary long ago banned on FR. This will require a very large supply of popcorn. Can’t wait - it will be such fun.

It can’t possibly be a kick in the stones...that would presuppose the existence of stones...;)

Avi Nelson (fill in for Howie Carr) was just talking about A.S. and I e-mailed him telling him the trailer (etc) is on youtube, and he read my email on air.
Just spreading the word!
That scene in the book was great and this version, while good, compressed a lot of pages to just a couple minutes. But still good!

Well hell....this thing looks like it has PROMISE....that scene certainly did capture what RAND was getting at in the book....let's hope we gat lucky and the rest of it is as good and this film succeeds in fostering millions of new OBJECTIVISTS...

They really do seem to have this spot on. I noticed they bumped up the donation from $10,000 to $100,000. I guess Rand underestimated inflation.

There’s a scam on a different Youtube, for newedgemovies.com that claims you can watch the entire leaked movie now. Its a survey scam to get you to sign up for a $9.99 per month cell phone text message I think. 555-1212 is always a good number to give.

The link shows the trailer, but newedgemovies.com is not trustworthy looking.
