You are so right. It can only be From Here to Eternity.

1. For intensity, there are several very driven scenes with Renne Russo and Pierce Brosnan in the remake of The Thomas Crown Affair.
2. Some of the best scenes about the moments of falling in love are from the movie of Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" with Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson as they recognize they actually are seriously attracted to each other.

I know it’s old, but I thought New Moon’s song ‘Wanting You’ by Jeanette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy was very romantic.

I get all snuffy when I see the scene in Mars Attacks where the disembodied head of Professor Kessler (Pierce Brosnan) declares his undying love to Taffy (Natalie Portman), whose own head has been attached to the body of her little Chihuahua Poppy. You can almost hear the Martians go "Ack! Ack!" in approval.

Call me a romantic fool.

I am a softy for “SABRINA” with Harrison Ford and Julia Ormond...several scenes, but I do like the day they spend out on the Cape and of course the scene in the green house where he takes his brother’s place (brother being played by Greg Kinnear). Overall, a very good movie!

I agree with you about that scene, and the music swells at that moment. I bawl my eyes out every time.

Also, another tear-jerker is the scene in The Glenn Miller Story when June Allyson is listening to the radio on Christmas Eve and hears that Glenn's plane has been lost over the Atlantic.

Oh yeah, Sea of Love with Pacino and Barkin — no question!

Also - several scenes from 9 1/2 Weeks - Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger. Not romantic - just crazy lust.

Then there’s Against All Odds and The Unbearable Lightness of Being. And how about Body Heat???

The pottery scene in “Ghost”
The Balcony scene in “Romeo and Juliet (Whiting and Hussy)”
And an unusual pick which is maybe less romantic and more sensual. The wedding night scene in “Dracula (Langella and Nelligan)” Pretty hot stuff.
