I’m surprised The Notebook hasn’t been mentioned (not my favorite, but it’s pretty popular)

The Ang Lee film of Sense and Sensibility when Hugh Grant clears up Emma Thompson’s misconception that he was betrothed, and she bursts into tears. She just nails it.

My favorite is the scene in the movie “Witness”, where the young Amish widow is serving a meal to the men who are building a barn. Harrison Ford is among the builders.

Go to YouTube and watch the On The Edge of Blade Runner documentary. It is in 6 parts.
Ridley Scott, the director who also did Alien and Gladiator to name a few, hired a visual futurist Syd Mead for the film. He talks about how the street is the basement and the civilized people never venture below the 60th floor.
The documentary was shot probably 10 years and the movie is almost 30 years old. The people all talked about how LA has turned into something like the movie. The documentary is really interesting and Ridley Scott is a really bright guy. Rutger Hauer really stole the show in the movie.
