Sue everybody and everything in the hopes someone will want to settle. It would seem to be about the Benjamins.

There was a birthday party in the bar the day before the suicide that she also did not attend. Why wouldn't everyone at the party she didn't go to the day before be responsible for her death? Should all birthday parties be banned from now on?
Also, why not sue everyone who was in the bar that day. Didn't they all have a civil duty to monitor and control the girl to keep her from getting blasted? Shouldn't they all have known or checked when she left that she was getting ready to jump into a freezing ocean? Shouldn't the patrons and the bartender have physically restrained her from leaving? Don't they have a responsibility to stalk her when she left and make sure she goes home?
What about the company that build the pier and the material suppliers. Shouldn't they have known that some day an idiot may get drunk and jump off and drown? Shouldn't all piers be banned from now on.
What about all the people who read or heard about the event. Didn't they have the responsibility to know that someone might get drunk and jump off a pier a 2am the next day? Shouldn't they have stopped it?
Shouldn't there be police stationed on the pier 24 hours to keep drunks from jumping in the freezing ocean?
What about the way Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh promoted and even caused this suicide?
Wow, so many people to sue. So little time.

I was on a whitewater rafting trip when I was in my 30s and in good shape. At one point, we had stopped for lunch and the guide told us that we could jump into a race on a section of the river. Of course, I jumped in. The water was so cold! My breathing became labored and thought I was going to have a heart attack. I did not hear anyone else in the group, most of whom were younger and male, describe having an experience like mine.

I had to make an emergency dive to free a prop from steel cable. I didn't have my suit or my tanks but the boat had a compressor and hookah rig.
I figured it's Florida, even in winter I can handle a fast swim.
They hauled me out by the safety line after about 10 minutes. I was in my 20s and in prime condition but water sucks the heat out of your body, and fast.
I got the cable cleared, but that was all she wrote for me.
I sure hope I'm smarter now, LOL
Maybe those Yankee folks can handle it better, I sure couldn't!

In this John Bryson photograph, Katharine Hepburn is coming out of the icy surf of Long Island Sound on a bitterly cold day in February, running toward Fenwick, her beloved family home. All we see is her back, but we can tell she's fit and hardy, this octogenarian, fresh from her daily swim and waving her towel like a flag.

Should have added a ‘sarc’ tag.
Parents who take credit for their children’s success - should not blame others for their stupidity.
It’s all or nothing;)

I just gotta ask, what percentage of fault do the parents ascribe to their daughter for deciding to voluntarily take part in the Polar Bear Plunge? She did not particpate inthe "plunge" she went in several hours later.
