Summit Entertainment has moved back the release of director Jodie Foster's The Beaver from March 23 to May 6. The dramedy will receive a limited release on that date before expanding wide on May 20.

The Beaver is an emotional story about a man on a journey to re-discover his family and re-start his life.

Plagued by his own demons, Walter Black (Mel Gibson) was once a successful toy executive and family man who now suffers from depression. No matter what he tries, Walter can't seem to get himself back on track... until a beaver hand puppet enters his life.

Foster, Anton Yelchin, Jennifer Lawrence and Cherry Jones co-star.

>> Gotta wonder who named this article. Someone with a sense of humor or someone totally clueless? I would like to think someone with a sense of humor. :) <<

Or someone who just decided, “Aw, screw it. There’s no avoiding the wise cracks.”

Jokes?

I thought they were cracks...

Arrgh! Just when I thought this thread couldn't go any further down the rabbit hole - it did.

If this turns out to be a good movie...Next year’s headline could read...” Jodie Foster’s Beaver Wins Academy Award for best costume” ... or for Best Stunt Coordination... this could become very comical.

And if it bombs, will the headline read: Jodie Foster's Beaver a Real Stinker"?

I wonder if the Beaver will have a big opening or small opening...

IIRC from what I have read, it should be a fairly small opening.

“Jodie Foster’s Beaver Stinks”

You got it. 10:1 it’s a headline by the critics.

I would sacrifice and do my best in an effort to turn Jodie from the low path she has taken.
If that didn’t take I would sacrifice myself again.
And again.
And.....

Just like Tiger Woods, this thread crashed into a tree...

But not to worry, I'm sure the beaver can chew through that wood.

Beaver abuse, I’m sure Pamela Anderson will be representing PETA on this issue.

Kinky Friedman - Somethin’s Wrong with the Beaver

She climbed the stairs that mornin’
Found him rather pale
His eyes they were the color
Of half-drunk ginger ale.

Faithful as a Magnavox
Hung-up on a song
She cried down to the breakfast nook,
“Ward, there’s something wrong.”

Somethin’s wrong with the Beaver
Somethin’s wrong with the Beaver
Somethin’s wrong with the Beaver
The Beaver I believe is gone.

Beaver was a dreamer
Never got it right
Died in livin’ color
Lived in black an’ white.

Faithful as a Magnavox
Hung-up on a song
She cried down to the breakfast nook,
“Ward, there’s something wrong.”

Somethin’s wrong with the Beaver
Somethin’s wrong with the Beaver
Somethin’s wrong with the Beaver
The Beaver I believe is gone.

Somethin’s wrong with the Beaver
Somethin’s wrong with the Beaver
Somethin’s wrong with the Beaver
Somethin’s wrong with the Beaver
Somethin’s wrong with the Beaver
Somethin’s wrong.
