Another wonderful article from American Thinker, this time tearing apart the unquestioning beliefs of the Left on Global Warming.

My huge sigh at reading Mooney's comments greatly increased my carbon footprint for today...

"They aren't getting they're message out."

Sounds more like politics than science.

I think this winter should just about do it for the “global warming” hoax. Those huge icicles are stakes in the heart of the blood suckers. (Can I say that?)

The scientist’s job is to make conclusions based on provable facts.

Propaganda is not their job.

If the facts are not supporting their conclusion, then they need to re-evaluate their conclusions.

As far as I can tell, this ha not been done by the scientists with the agendas.

They should not be called scientists any more.

Scientists Challenged to Become Better Global Warming Propagandists

Propaganda is not supposed to be part of a scientist's repertoire. A scientist uses facts, real data, to argue the case. It's not about popularity, and it's not about convincing rhetoric or propaganda.

If no one else agrees, a real scientist responds, "Eppur si muove" (nevertheless, it - the earth - does move). Real science is never settled and always open to questioning based on data. Even if everyone else accepts something as obvious and fundamental as Newton's Laws of motion and of gravity, a real scientist questions those "Laws" and says things like, "I sometimes ask myself how it came about that I was the one to develop the theory of relativity. The reason, I think, is that a normal adult never stops to think about problems of space and time. These are things which he has thought about as a child. But my intellectual development was retarded,as a result of which I began to wonder about space and time only when I had already grown up."

It's sad that real science seems to be dying in our postmodern, feelings-centered world.

If you think it's that good, then please post their commentaries in News/Activism, not Chat, and check editorial so it can hang in that sidebar. More eyeballs will be able to catch it there.

To understand the attitude of these scientists read Thomas Kuhn's "History of Scientific Discovery." Scientists do not try to falsify their paradigm. Instead they spend their careers reinforcing what they were taught. When a new theory is offered they always oppose it until forced to change by facts they cannot ignore. Today there is no absolute proof global warming is wrong and the state still pays them to say it is happening. The farce will continue.

Look up the definition of a Ninja! Based on the recent comments by the MSM this is incitement to assassination of those who do not believe in the whole global warming schtick! I think an immediate FBI investigation into Chris Mooney is called for...

I will not call them scientists either. They are just plain liars. They have an agenda and a grant and they just say anything they like without regard fior the scientific method or the truth. We should charge them with fraud. Michael Mann should be in jail for fraud. These so-called "scientist" have an agenda to get more grants with lies and fabricated data. They should all be in jail. The universities that gave these liars a degee should rescind those degrees for scientist that have falseified the readings.

You're very close, twistedsis. It'll be a snowy day in Hades before government, which is all but entirely in the hands of people who understand "global warming" plays into government hands, will charge the fraudsters with fraud.

Between now and then, I'd like to propose we pull their free money plug. Defund them. Take back our tax dollars. Make them play with their own money instead of ours.

There are plenty of large, rich Marxist foundations, of course, so they'll still be able to broadcast their ludicrous pseudo-scientific lies, but it would do America a world of good to see them deprived of the funding we provide. Could the Republicans do that? Yes. Will they? We'll see, won't we?

I don't think we have to ascribe dishonest motives (although this may be the case for a few) to understand their behavior. I think there are 3 things that are sufficient:

a) Modeling of climate is perhaps the most vexing modeling situation ever attempted.
i. For an ideal modeling, the instantaneous initial conditions of pressure, temperature, velocity, moisture content, cloud distribution, particulate distribution, solar radiation, cosmic rays, magnetic field, moon and planetary tidal forces, ocean state, etc are needed. That can't be done beyond crude levels of fidelity that means the computer can't get started on the right foot.
ii. All the physical processes need to be understood and represented, unless determined objectively to be inconsequential. (Can anyone say clouds? or cosmic ray cloud seeding?)

b) Many "climatologists" came from narrow disciplines and latched onto this work when the opportunity arose when the scare was generated by the Maurice Strongs of the world who made this into a (almost) successful propaganda campaign for their ideological agenda.

c) The reason E. Goldstein mentions in regards to not trying to falsify their paradigm. (I suspect many were predispositioned by support of environmental causes and didn't even realize the puppet masters like Strong were at play.)

And what is it with the Palin picture? Isn't this a group of professionals?

” Mann’s presentation in San Francisco depicted him as a victim of dark forces. Some of his slides included a picture of Sarah Palin in the upper-left corner, probably to galvanize the left-leaning audience.”

Sarah has now taken the place of “W” as the main target of liberal hatred. They are truly a hate-filled people.
