Glenn Beck may be one of the hottest talk show hosts in the country, but he apparently left New York's WOR cold.

WOR (710 AM), one of the city's two biggest talk radio stations, said this morning it is dropping Beck's syndicated show as of Jan. 17 and replacing him with a familiar New York name: Mike Gallagher.

Didn’t know that.

I’ve always thought he’s an ass. You just confirmed it.

Someone telling you that you will probably die will not cure what is killing you.

Beck is not the only one out there who knows what is going ont in the world. But someone telling us day after day after day that we're "doomed" provides assholes like obama with just the spirit killing his brand of socialism/communism wants.

Beck is contributing to the fear, that is all he is doing, and it is playing right up to the Alinsky model that drives obama.

If you cow down to a bully, he will never stop coming after you (see tagline).

You said you hate O'Reilly, but beck is one of his big pals; O'Reilly is an obama apologist and Beck is acting like one of his czars.

I agree about Dwight Schultz, the guy is great on the radio and sharp as a tack. He really should have his own show.

I pretty much stopped listening to Glenn Beck’s radio show. Production-wise, it is horrible. He also has those other clowns in the studio and everybody’s voices all sound the same

Yes, and they all start talking at once. Can't understand anything.
Don't like his radio show. For that matter I don't watch the TV show much either.

"Every conservative lineup should include Rush and Levin..."

Exactly!

There is a huge gap of talent/knowledge/Conservatism between Rush/Levin the ALL the rest combined.

"Glenn Beck is just about the only one who gets into the communist angle."

You're right about that. Perhaps Savage does from time to time but not to the same depth/extent as Beck. When Beck is attacking the progressive left and shining light on Soros & Co. he's great, when he's goofing off, crying, preaching/acting like Moses, and pimping freedom works for open borders Dick Armey I turn off the radio.

You’re welcome.

I am visiting family in the Washington DC area this week and had to find him online. Most stations that carry him (or any talk show ) has a Listen Live function on their own website.

Dwight is really funny. I always loved him on The A-Team. Very smart and then he goes into these voices. It is hysterical.

I agree. New York and Philly both drop Beck? The guy draws a crowd of 500,000 to his rally, mostly from the area he is being cancelled in, and it is because of ratings? In Philly he is being replaced by Smerconish whose ratings have tanked since he pulled a Specter. Doesn’t add up.

"I pretty much stopped listening to Glenn Beck’s radio show. Production-wise, it is horrible. He also has those other clowns in the studio and everybody’s voices all sound the same. I could never figure out who is speaking. Plus Glenn has a very childish way of making silly faces (and in this case, voices) to get otherwise, pretty credible points across."

That is exactly why I no longer turned him on. All those same sounding voices -- speaking at once. And stupid joking. I liked it better when Beck was off and Pat was there by himself. The doom and gloom stuff was tiring, too.

I turn on talk radio to get current news, political and just stuff. I don't need to be entertained by inaneness.

I’m wondering if these moves aren’t part of a gradual shift in talk radio programming away from syndicated shows and back to local hosts. It’s got to be much cheaper to do it with local hosts than with some of these nationally syndicated hosts.

As was pointed out, there’s a listen live button on his site. Also he’s on XM/Sirius sat. radio if you have that.

Some rumors have WNTP AM 990 poss. picking him up in Philly
(owned by Salem Comm. I think who also own WNYM 970 in NYC
area, a station that conceivably could pick up Beck).

One of the things I learned about Mike Gallagher is that he’s a host who “fabricates” issues just for the sake of generating controversy and animated calls from his listeners. If you tuned into the show the following day, he probably would have been calling for Reno to be fired over that very same issue.

Just speaking for myself, Becks’ radio show has become horrible.

After the first 5 minutes I want to shut it off.

Beck is not the only one out there who knows what is going on in the world.

He's the only with a huge audience. He's the only one with such a platform that gets into the important details of what the communists are up to, who they and their various front groups are. Hannity doesn't know sh*t about the movement. Neither does Limbaugh, or even Levin. Do you really expect the average schmo to go out and seek this sort of info on their own?
