My son is getting married the weekend of Valentine's Day. He and is wife to be have not yet decided on a honeymoon location. Travel agents are steering them into one of those all inclusive, security fenced in places in Aruba or Cancun etc. I suggested a Cruise, but my son, a plumber and avid golfer, I think would probably go nuts after a couple days without doing something physical. My brother suggest Maui. Staying in San Francisco a day and then flying to there. I say anywhere but Mexico. The drug wars, etc have spilled into places like Alcapulco...so I'd say it would be crazy to go there.
I respect and look forward to the comments here.
Maui is wonderful. Go there.
Here is a crazy one.
Stay at the Westin at La Cantera in San Antonio. Championship Golf, world class dining. You are twenty minutes from downtown and the River Walk.
If it is early in Feb, there is Rodeo San Antonio which is the best Rodeo in the country. Combined with other historic sites like King Willem district as well as The Alamo, they will have a great time.
What's the DH?

How about Detroit?
ROFLMAO!
Belize. And yes, an all-inclusive holiday is your best bet. Jamaica has some great all-inclusives, too. Port Antonio and Ocho Rios are my top choices.
That's the reason I came on this thread, to see if anyone mentioned San Antonio. I love staying on the Riverwalk.
My suggestion would be as another said Sanibel Island Fl. It’s short on kids, mostly older couples. It’s. Short on nightlife but the peace and quiet make up for that. great non crowded beaches. Golfing, tennis, water activities all available and plenty of good food.
You so funny!
That’s the ticket!
Suggesta cruise that has a port stop everyday, he will never have time to be bored, also would suggest Bermuda, lovely.
Leni, that’s too funny!!
VERY expensive lodging during the winter (their tourist season) but insane amounts of golf and high-end restaurants and shopping.
Of course, on my honeymoon, I'd have better things to do than try to sink a putter. "Hole in One" if you catch my drift.
...oh, and tender our congrats from FR.
Cheers!
