Just wondering if anyone else out there is spending the evening alone. Not necessarily a bad thing. I'm sipping a cappuccino and taking in "A Christmas Story" in the old man cave. I'll be with family tomorrow, but as of tonight, it's my faithful Boxer and me. And Ralphie.
It’s not so bad.
The voices in my head are singing Christmas carols.
John’s right.
If you can smile = Good
If they can tell you something pertinent to a question you ask = Good(they don’t even have to get the answer right i.e. What time is it? If they tell you a time, even after looking at a clock and it’s incorrect, doesn’t matter)
Last step and very important - Smile = Excellent! Doesn’t matter how you get them to smile and that means acting like a dork if that’s what it take but do it with a smile right looking right at their eyes.
Pass? Then wait 10 minutes and observe, repeat.
Fail? 911
In our house most TIA’s resolve themselves.
Merry Christmas John.
Happy birthday Jesus!
Merry Christmas and thank you for your service!

Nah, don’t jump.
Live a long stubborn life, just for spite....:)
Thanks, Cat.
Hope yours is better, too.
SNORT!!! Merry Christmas!
Prayers up for you, PastorBooks — and BG’s mighty prayer warriors will be along soon, I’ll bet!
That ain’t just low, that’s unAmerican and unmanly.
So just know a sissy took your stuff and he will always be weak.
Merry Christmas Salamander!

;-)
An inflated pig part people throw or kick randomly around a glorified pasture for no apparent reason.
“It is in the broken places that we are strong.”
At the ripe old age of 22, I prayed that I would have a life that would make me learn everything I could, that my life would not be ordinary and would be absolutely full of everything.
Well, it is and has been, and it is not something I’d wish to do over. But had I have lived the life I was set for from that time on, I would have blown apart like a firecracker at a time when I could least bear it.
There are times when it’s not at all better than the worst moment, but I promised a parent on a deathbed that I’d take care of myself. (I realize now how well my parents knew me, as they both told me I must not grieve for them too much.)
I’m rambling. Just trying to encourage you both. There’s a reason you are here. You have lessons to teach and others to pull along with the strengths of the broken places.
I think I’m becoming a doctrinaire old coot. Listen to me.
Find Him within yourself. That's all He cares about. All the other stuff is superficial, repetitious. Yes, it'd be nice to hang out and be accepted in churches, but some of us were not created to fit in. It hurts, but Jesus heals :-) He's cool that way :-) He's the only One you have to answer to.
Have a verrrry Merry Christmas. Rejoice! The Savior is born!
How funny is this?
Lou was born in Santa Cruz where I’m from.
What are you drinking? Merlot, Cab, etc?
Looks like you can order it online now and I want anything a Freeper drinks cuz theyz gotz goods taste.
Does that go with an American Whiskey and coffee?
Good luck on your recovery! A week ago our local quire had our annual Christmas performance. The baritone next to me is
recovering from a recent stroke. I and the man on the other
side of him had to steady him a couple of times when we
stood or sat, but his voice was still great! He's an old
Marine chaplain. Those damn jar heads never give up!
What would we do without our pets? Or this place?
Merry Christmas to you.
(It’s snowing in Nashville!)
I went out for Carols and Lessons at a wonderful traditional Anglican church and was in Heaven for an hour. Came home where I’m alone for the evening.
Thinking of all the people I knew and cherished in Christmases past who are no longer with us. I miss them all so much tonight.
I’m so grateful that God sent His Son to Earth to be Our Redeemer. I’ll never be lonely as long as I remember.
Good for you Goat Granny!
You do your thing and do it when you want!
Merry Christmas!
Lucky you.
Mine are doing Gregorian chants.
Monophonic gets pretty monotonous after a while....:)
Bless your heart, Skooz. I'm sorry you're all alone! At least on the big day, you'll be with loved ones.
