Need Serious Help.

To make a long story short.... as a child, my brother saw a demon outside our window (back then you had to have the tv by a window because of heat generated). He saw this demon "dancing" around our window. He has been plagued w/ nothing but horror.

Now, in these days, he has over come his demons; however, his first born son has seen this demon, a few months ago, outside his window. His first born son described to him ( at first reluctant that he would not be believed) the same thing my brother saw as a child. My brother was stunned.

We need help. I truly believe in satan and his demons to be as real as we are. What can we do? Who do we turn to?

Some may see this as nonsense, but we are living this in real life. Can anyone help us or at least lead us to someone who can help?

John Paul II apparently performed an exorcism once on a possessed woman. He just sat down and calmly read passages from the Bible. Eventually, the demon couldn’t stand it and left. Though the Catholic Church does tend to downplay these stories about performing exorcisms.

My mother once knew a psychic who gave it up after accidentally conjuring some kind of unsavory spirit. Supposedly, the baddies can only get to you if you engage in psychic or occult activities. Which is likely why the Bible prohibits it.

That pre-apocryphal age has passed. Satan is real - to be sure - but there are no more wonders, signs, miracles, tongues, demons and the like as there were in that earlier dispensation.

Who told you this? You could not be more wrong, well except I have no clue what you mean by 'tongues'. Ephesians 6:11-24 was Written to us as much as for anyone, for these times.

Not enought detail (age of your bro’s son, etc.) but it occurs to me that perhaps your brother had told the child of his childhood experience, and his son is now either having nightmares?...or even just kind of imagining?

My brother has never stated his experience until now, to me. It had to do with my brother and sister(s) (the other is dead) revealing his story to me because of what happened to him.

He believes God came down and said “hell no” to another one of us perishing to evil.

“Demons will stay with families for generations...” ~ shield

Sounds like you’ve been watching the heretics and grifters on TBN too long. .....people like Joyce Meyer and her generational “demons of lust” (among other quaint things) LOL

http://www.equip.org/articles/the-teachings-of-joyce-meyer

....Also problematic are some of Meyer’s beliefs regarding spiritual warfare. According to her, for instance, generational spirits supposedly torment families for generations with specific sins, and she even believes that a demon of lust torments her family. On one occasion she says,

I told you that there was a spirit of incest in my family bloodline….And the thing that I want you to understand today is when there’s a spirit like that in a bloodline, until some person believes on Jesus and takes the blood of Jesus and draws it across that natural bloodline, that devastation goes on for generations and generations….Well see, my father’s grandfather had problems and so his father had problems and so my dad had problems and so I had problems and so if I wouldn’t have stood and believed Jesus, my kids would have had problems and their kids would have had problems and so on and so on.15

Scripture, however, does not support the existence of a demon or spirit of lust, nor any demon of a particular sin. It is true that certain sins (e.g., alcoholism) are perpetuated and can affect families for generations (see Exod. 20:5; Num. 14:18), but these are the consequences of sin ¾ not generational spirits. James’ epistle is clear that we sin because of our own evil desires (v. 1:14). Demons cannot force us to sin; however, they can influence our behavior through temptation (e.g., Gen. 3:1-6). Nonetheless, we are ultimately held accountable for our actions (e.g., Ezek. 18:4, 20). If this were not so, we would have license to exclaim, “the Devil made me do it!”

Along similar lines, she believes that there are “mind-binding” spirits who keep multitudes of believers in a perpetual state of unbelief.16 Through deliverance, however, the attacks of mind-binding spirits will disappear. In her case, “when the spirits left, the ability to believe came rushing back.”17

Meyer overemphasizes and distorts the parameters in which God permits Satan and his angels to work, by attributing practically every negative experience to demonic activity. There is even a demon of accidents. For example, she recounts experiencing a close call while pulling into and out of a fast food restaurant parking lot. She shouts, “‘I rebuke the spirit of accidents, in the name of Jesus!’”18

Her false view of demonic activity propagates a paranoid and superstitious mindset, while obscuring the work of Christ, human accountability, and biblical views of spiritual warfare.

My FRiend. I see you are in NY. There should be many people who can deal with demons - of all types in NY. I would not overlook native practitioners if the house is near a place where a great evil took place.

No, that’s not true. You may not see them if you refuse to see them, but these things still happen. It’s like the Narnia books, however: with the proud conviction that we are too mature and somehow have moved beyond these things, we lose our very capacity to see them even though they still exist. So we are in many ways actually more vulnerable than our forebears.

I have always thought that one of the things few people understand is how Christianity released pagan peoples from fear. Evil exists, and sometimes it takes very visible forms. Christianity was an even more powerful magic, however, and it freed people from witchdoctors, spells, curses and demons.

It is still more powerful. Those people who actually see demons are people who are particularly sensitive or for one reason or another have not lost that capacity to see the Old Evil; and they can also be helped by the old rites and the old prayers that dispell the demons. People who don’t see demons are still under attack, but in a lot of ways, they are more vulnerable because they can’t identify what is attacking them and what is the source of their fear.

...when two or more are gathered in my name....Power in numbers.

I’d ask every christian friend I have to come and help. Pastors, church members, small group friends....fellowship, break bread together.

Our christian life isnt meant to be secluded.

For your family to claim they say a demon outside is akin to those who claim they see...(Jesus in a piece of toast).

Would you classify one claiming to see the Blessed Mary in the same category?

Get an exorcism done by a priest or pastor. Many protestant denominations will do one.

Are you a believer in Jesus Christ? If so, command it to be gone in His Holy Name. Speak the words with power and authority.

On this I have to agree. Mark 16:17.

Also note that there is the idea that sin can be carried on by the next generation...up to 7 generations. So if a sin was committed long ago and hidden/never confessed ...this demon may be waiting for someone in the family to open the door again.

For many years and even to this day I have slept with a Bible by my bedside. While I know in my heart and soul...I don't even need the Bible...but to simply utter His name and command it to be gone and it will be His will.

First reasonable post on this thread.......
