To make a long story short.... as a child, my brother saw a demon outside our window (back then you had to have the tv by a window because of heat generated). He saw this demon "dancing" around our window. He has been plagued w/ nothing but horror.
Now, in these days, he has over come his demons; however, his first born son has seen this demon, a few months ago, outside his window. His first born son described to him ( at first reluctant that he would not be believed) the same thing my brother saw as a child. My brother was stunned.
We need help. I truly believe in satan and his demons to be as real as we are. What can we do? Who do we turn to?
Some may see this as nonsense, but we are living this in real life. Can anyone help us or at least lead us to someone who can help?
No.I believe that you have to open yourself to it. I don’t think it comes in a box. You could do it yourself without a ouja board. I even had problems with Piers Anthony “Xanth” books because it opened me up to it.
Like the creepy tales of the “Black Eyed Kids”, you pretty much have to invite it in.
Just a quick anecdote, if I may. I'm in NJ and spend a bit of time driving in the early morning hours to go fishing. There's an area between Cranberry Lake and Andover, NJ and the first time I drove by I could sense it. It was ancient and it was evil.
I do not play.
Yet that’s the first image that popped into my head when I read the post.
We made that acknowledgment too. I think it’s important to do so.

Mark 16:16-17 that you refer to is not among various versions of the original text. Many scholars believe this text was added later. Another qualification of scripture is that it’s supports other scriptures. Mark 16:16-17 that you’re referring to, is unique within the the Bible. While it may be God’s word, it is suspect. Many translations include this section as a footnote.
Thanks Doctor. Neither was Oral Roberts a doctor but he sure loved to pracice healing it seems. Tell me. If he could heal or had the power given to heal why did he need a medical school? MONEY!
I have some training and experiences in Epilepsy. I have several family members with it one likely is myself. None have my type though. One of the many forms of it effects my life ever day. Get away from the person fall down and convulse descriptions and read up some on it. This disorder is likely on the top 10 genetic hand me downs. A person may have daily seizures or one in their life time. The most serious is the Grand Mal which can be fatal. Lesser ones can be simply annoying but disturbing including seeing things which are not there including dead persons they know. Convincing enough yet? I'm not making it up. I'm not an expert on it but this place is Simple Partial Seizures
I do not know of any credible preacher who would not say get the child to a doctor. An EEG is not running up unnecessary cost. The cost of it which is money Reverend Smith may not get in his collection plate it is a very basic legitimate and reasonably priced diagnostic medical test. Usually that is as far as most doctors go. In my case it didn't catch it. Most of the time they do.
I don't have partial seizures nor the dangerous as in potentially fatal type but I have Myoclonic type. Some of the physical manifestations are similar to Torettes. I can shake so violent I rock the van and yet still drive. A preacher telling me I have a demon would be of no help. Yet Epilepsy used to be considered demon possession by clergy. A doctor giving me Xanax is of help. Without it I can not function. That to me is GOD's miracle. Doctors receive their talents from GOD and most of them I have dealt with which are many are Christian.
Epilepsy is a very common disorder with many wide variants of causes, triggers, symptoms, and origins, with seriousness ranging from harmless to fatal. It makes far more sense to me for father and son to share a genetic trait than for a spirit to follow the family and suddenly show up years later and no time in between.
Epilepsy many times is a one time thing and many times gone at puberty. Thus the father would not have another experience after his own. No telling what triggered it. Christmas tree lights maybe? TV? Who knows?
I just gave you the proof of this possibility. I can't make you read or except it though.
Thank you for sharing your insights, dear Captain Beyond!
Indeed. Thank you for sharing your insights, dear brother in Christ!
I've experienced being in the presence of that. The best thing to do is leave and never look back. You shouldn't engage it.

I really don’t know what your problem is, but caps won’t solve it.
Yeah. My family still owns that house. They fixed it up and want me to come by and see it. No how. No way.
I consider myself pretty big and tough-by Joisey standards, not by Texans ;-)-and don't believe in the supernaural. Heck, I'm not even a religous man. But...that ...thing scared me to my core. I was wide awake and couldn't move a muscle. I was literally frozen with terror. I don't even like writing about it.
I'm 45 now and put a lot of tough miles under my belt, but if I came across that thing's path again, I would be the same petrified little boy I was that night.
Nope. It’s left me alone and I am leaving it alone. I hope I never to cross it’s path again.
I don’t really know what happened here because NGZ never reported the details. For example, I don’t think there is any description of either demon as seen by the father or son, except that it WAS a demon and danced.
I suppose the father will say the description given by his four year old matches what he thinks he saw quite a few years ago, but we were never told the description or the child’s words.
These are among the main reasons I’m astounded so many people accept not only the story but that it WAS a demon and in fact the same demon each time.
Finally, it’s amazing that so many people are absolutely certain of their take on this matter, such as demons exist, demons don’t exist, demons don’t do this, demons do it and this was one, you must be the one to chase the demon, you cannot be the one, a priest is the one, use holy water, holy water is useless, use Christ’s name, don’t use Christ’s name.
For me the first question is was there ever reason to believe a demon was seen twice. I don’t think we have much reason to believe that here. It’s an interesting story but I certainly have no reason to believe it, not meaning NGZ is lying, meaning I don’t have good reason to believe it happened (a real demon seen twice) based on what little we have here.
Not at the level of the average population.
Roman religion was a two-tiered thing and was, in any case, not made for export. Roman intellectuals were essentially monotheists in all but name and in fact verged on deism, but the Roman populace were pantheist ancestor-worshippers.
I wasn't speaking of religion. When it came to advancing intellectually, the Roman Empire saw progress in metallurgy, mining, architecture, agriculture, the arts...
As for material advances, the Roman economy was the largest the Western world had seen to that point...so they certainly advanced in that respect as well.
The only problems I had with the Xanth books was that they grew progressively awful with each passing novel...bear in mind that "The Color of Her Panties" (shudder) is only the 15th book in the series (there are 34 at last count!).
Good.
They are not to be played with.
I figured you’d come back with that.
Not my reality.
If one plays that game, where does one stop?
Like Jefferson who threw out lots of verses he decided were to uncomfortable or nonsense TO HIM?
I believe that God was well able to protect His Word and CAUSE TO BE INCLUDED whatever He wanted . . . and/or to be reinserted as He wanted.
In any case, millions of Christians around the world are proving the validity of those Scriptures 24/7/365.
Satan has not changed.
Human need and sinfulness has not changed.
Holy Spirit has not changed.
I don’t appear to be communicating effectively to you.
I read all you wrote and understand it quite well.
Epilepsy has nothing to do with the perceptions described by the father and the son.
It is an entirely different category of thing.
