I don't want pictures, graphics and music. I stopped watching after 30 seconds.

2 separate chemicals - still separated - do not produce a scent that would set off one dog. The explosives you are being screened for are not explosive when brought onto the airplane. They are combined after they are on the plane and the plane is in mid air. I’m not in favor of the TSA even existing, but I do see what they are doing and why they are doing it. Ever consider they have specific intelligence as to a real and present threat? I’m not saying they do, but MAYBE they do...
Dogs would be a good solution. They can be trained to spot almost anything, including certain behaviors.
But the middle eastern death cult that is responsible for terrorism HATES dogs. So in order not to offend them, and to sacrifice innocent Americans, we are not using dogs.
Dogs are to Islamofacists as Tribbles are to Klingons. Remember that original Star Trek episode?
Also with the added benefit of pissing off the muzzies, who do not like dogs. THAT alone, is worth the effort.
If you don’t like dogs, there’s a problem.
please they cant even light their shoes or set off their underwear on a plane let alone perform a chemistry experiment. unless they can drive a Ryder Truck onto the plane.
I wonder if the dogs could be trained to sniff out each chemical that could be used to make and explosive.....
I read somewhere that a dog can seperate the smells. When the pizza guy comes to the door, the dog doesn’t smell pizza - it smells flour, pepperoni, mushrooms, etc. I would imagine they could be trained to hit on the individual components.
Years ago I was at an airport. Looked pretty scruffy after being out in the field for awhile. Long hair, 2-week scruffy beard, beat-up cowboy hat. Was watching the security guy with his dog at baggage claim.
It wasn’t until I picked up my first silver metal box that the dog keyed in on me. He kept his eye on me real good as I kept accumulating my field gear. Not sure if it was training, or if he just noticed that mine wasn’t the usual luggage.
