Just in time for Christmas
LET US FIGHT IT OUT
Has been released!
Brief Synoposis
The saga shifts west as General James Longstreet assumes command of the Department of Mississippi. His mission: stop the fall of Vicksburg and prevent the Confederacy from being split in two. His opponent is none other than his old friend, Ulysses S. Grant. But when President Lincoln summons Grant east to assume command of the Union war effort, a new and dangerous nemesis arises in his place. Sherman! Now Longstreet must gather all the fighting men he can in order to prevent Sherman from reaching his goal - Atlanta, by summer's end.
Let Us Fight It Out is the second book of a trilogy that provides the exciting answer to the Civil War's most enduring question: What if Stonewall Jackson had survived Chancellorsville?
Just had to brag!

If Jackson I had lived, the ANV would probably have been still had just 2 corps. I disagree. It's been well documented that Lee was unhappy with the current organization. He knew that each corps was too large for a single man to command effectively and having only two corps hampered him tactically. The reorganization was in the works, Chancellorsville or no Chancellorsville. And as the senior officer, Ewell would have gotten the new corps over Hill.
Ewell was sent to Pennsylvania first to see if there were enough supplies to sustain the army.
Ewell may have led the army into Pennsylvania, but the whole command was headed to Pennsylvania regardless of what he found. The question was never whether Pennsylvania could support the rebel army. It could; that was the whole point of going in the first place. That and to keep Davis from spliting the army up and sending part in a fruitless attempt at saving Vicksburg. The army was sent in various directions in order to facilitate the foraging for food and supplies useful to the army.

Stonewall was a great general.
I’ve wondered what if.

Of course you disagree... LOL!
Why don't we keep this thread about celebrating my novel and not refighting the war. Just this once!

Read my novels for one answer. Of course, there are many different scenarios.

I’ve been “working” on my novel for many years. :) Then it turned into a screenplay, also incomplete. :) Regular life and wife/mom duties get in the way. Or at least I let them get in the way.
Actually completing a novel and having it published requires a lot of discipline. Bravo! :)

Congrats. Writing is a long, tedious process. I salute you for your determination and diligence.
We see re-enactors today who charge the field with bellies and full stomachs. LOL. Not like in the past, when men were made of steel and ships made of wood.
Sherman, aka Curtis Le May, and the crew, who meant every dam word they said. Men, twenty going on sixty.

My novels are about the war. This thread is a party to celebrate 18 months worth of work. Can we keep it to that?

It's the character of the men, both North and South, that drew me into studying the war. That is why I tell my stories from both sides. So, people can learn that honor resided in Reynolds, Grant, McPherson, Hancock, and Thomas just like it does in Lee, Jackson, Stuart, Longstreet, Bragg, etc.
It's my way of paying tribute to the honored dead on both sides.

Our very own Non-Seq aka "dearie" doesn't work and play well with others. . . just pay him no mind and celebrate your book.
Congratulations! Will it be available through Amazon?
