Open Letter to the President of Delta Airlines
wintertime

Posted on 11/16/2010 6:49:54 AM PST by wintertime

Mr. Richard Anderson PO Box 20706, Atlanta, Georgia, 30320.

Re: Airline Travel

Dear Mr. Anderson,

My husband and I restrict our airline travel because flying is a flaming inconvenience.

Last year and this year we chose our vacation places based solely on whether or not we could get there by AUTOMOBILE!

Solution: My husband and I should be PRE- SCREENED ( similar to a government security clearance). We should then NEVER NEVER NEVER go through airport security again.

For now we are NOT flying!

Sincerely,

Wintertime

P.S. It is outrageous that John Tyner is being investigated by the TSA while Muslim women go through security essentially unscreened!

You’re barking up the wrong tree. I’m sure Mr. Anderson feels as you do. He, his pilots and airline staff have to go through the same degradation.

Send this letter to Janet Nappy-whatever and Barry Obama (when he’s not on a billion dollar vacation).

It won’t do any good, but what the hey.

That is a fine letter. I would cc it to Jim DeMint and any other congress people who might take action. The TSA is out of control, and it has to be stopped by one means or another. Congress looks like our best bet.

Nice idea, but first, how about the one’s of us that have had government Top Secret clearances for decades, re-investigated very 5-yrs, How about letting us qualify as “pre-screened.” Sadly, instead TSA mouth-breathing thugs that might have passes a simple Best Buy credit check to work for TSA, they get to decide if I am a security risk or not. Madness.

TSA - Touching Sexual appendages or appartus. See this gives them right. what do you expect from the criminal chief in the whine house he is nothing but a pervert. I disagree with this invasion on privacy, yet the Muslim women can walk through unimpeded this is BS. grab the woman as she walks through and tear off her burqua, you will be shocked that is actually a man. BS on the TSA they are wrong, and it is bunchof perverts.

Not a bad idea; however, Robert Hanssen and John Anthony Walker had security clearances. They went bad. A pre-screened individual that knew how to work the system could go bad too.

There USED to be such a company, called CLEAR. My son worked for it for a couple of months before the TSA forced it out of business. Everyone who used it seemed to like it.

He even got to meet some VIP types, including former President Clinton.

I will not fly. We want to go to England next year and are currently investigating ship travel. Cunard seems to be the way at this time.

Sadly there are simply times in life when you have to depend on collateral damage to get the job done. This might well be one of those times. The TSA couldn't care less about what we think or how we feel. Those in management at that organization have reached their Level of Incompetence. They could never make it in a private enterprise. They are doing the only job they can make that kind of money at, and at the same time have great perks plus a feeling of power.

This is a great example of why it's never a good idea to pass laws during the heat of a disaster. The little minds that end up running the programs set up by the law will run wild. It never fails.

I have made up my mind that if I can't get there by driving then I don't need to get there. Time was flying was an attractive alternative. Even cheaper in some instances. But leave it to government to destroy that.

Every example of problems with terrorism and the airlines was caused by a miserable failure of the TSA to do the job it was designed to do. True, it's a tough job, but there are those in this country who could get it done a whole lot more dependably and a lot cheaper too. All that's required is a laser-like focus on the job that needs to be done. To hell with PC and all the BS. Go for the jugular. Take away the Muslim extremist's ability to use our laws and rules against us. No cash tickets, no more no-luggage trips, no more one-way tickets, and on an on.

If the only way to force the TSA to get in line is to take it out on the airlines then so be it. Truth is, if they don't figure out why they're there and continue to ratchet up the inconvenience and embarrassment they associated with airline travel then people will quit flying anyway. Far better to warn the airlines and give them the opportunity to return airline travel to the point where it's worth the effort.

How about if you're flying into or out of the same airport you've been flying into or out of for a dozen or more years and that airport is within 50 miles of where you've also lived for a dozen or more years? (I did have a govt clearance too BTW.)

But this isn't really about security. It's about turning the United States into a Police State.

Yeah, there was that program but, as far as I remember it, it only allowed to you step ahead of the line to the x-ray machine, not by-pass security. I may be wrong. Anyway, anything to lessen the burdensome ineffective kabuki-dance charade of “security” is a good thing.

Good point.

One wonders, how does a TSA mouth-breather have any self-respect? I mean, really, when out socially and the subject of “what do you do for a living” comes up, what do they say? I imagine it would be along the lines of, “Oh, I drive a pig farm manure truck” rather than admit they sniff and grope crotches for a living.

Yes, and a polygraph didn't catch them. Your point is anybody can “go bad.” But really, you could go nuts today and murder a random person, so, using the logic that anyone is capable of going bad, you should be groped and inspected daily just in case, as it is for everyone’s protection don't ya know. Do it for the ‘chilren.

Profile and the number one red flag is: islam.

One of my sons has the highest security clearance level there is. He still has to go through the same $hit as the rest of use. Only perk is Military ID so he can cut line which he doesn't do. Right now he has returned to Afcrapistan and is killing Haji’s as fast as he can - which is a a very fast rate. Odd thing is that when he took a flight from home back to base for deployment the Haji in the line in front of him got a free pass at ALL screening. He was whining about it being religious so the TSA Super let him pass. Totally upside down Obama world.

Where does one obtain one of these? How invasive is the search and who has access to the information? Thanks.
