I know, I know, another vanity, but...
I've been lurking here since '03, [and signed up in '08] and I can't remember another time when so many trolls were on FR.
Am I off here, or or is FR directly over the target?

I'm not a mormon, and I think their theology is nuts ... but that's not the point. I noticed a pattern ... threads with a somewhat inflammatory title, labeled "(LDS-Open)". I finally started looking at them, out of curiosity ... Every thread was posted by somebody apparently looking to denigrate some aspect of mormon theology or history. I hardly ever see one posted by a mormon.
Catholic threads are about evenly mixed ... half posted by Catholics who want to discuss some event or bit of theology, and half posted by a small group of non-Catholics for reasons about which I will not openly speculate.
It’s all over FR, and it’s been going on for weeks. It’s a war, baby!
I must be missing all the good stuff where the zots are happening?
Oh...and abortion too.
I’m quite anti-mormonism, yet several of my friends are quite strong mormons. We just don’t talk about it. We reach a point in religious discussions where we agree to disagree.
Oh and BTW- I do not read the catholic threads ever, I just tire of seeing them in the morning one after the other. The posters are strange.

Don’t worry. I don’t think they care. And I am merely stating an opinion. And it is always possible that I could be wrong. I dunno, maybe their prayers to Mary DO make them non-Christian.

They may even have doubts about whether you qualify as Christian ... who gets to define the term? I'm sure you have a definition ... no doubt they do, as well. Both you and they claim the title.
“Trolls” is actually an old net term from w-a-y back, where people troll threads throwing out inflammatory rhetoric hoping to snag people into a flame war.
Some people get off on that kind of thing.
It’s one thing for a flame war, or argument to naturally progress of a disagreement, but thee are those who go around trying to create it. And it gets tiresome and disruptive.
