Karl Rove, The Master

Rove is right. He predicted how O'Donnell would flop and hinted that it could cost the GPO additional senate seats.... In my personal opinion, he was thinking about Alaska, Nevada, Colorado, Washington, etc. All of these should have been captured by the tea party. Personally, I think O'Donnell cost real conservatives senate seats. Say what you will... but Rove was right. Don't hate the messenger.

The TEA Party has done so much good for this nation that I’m willing to forgive it for occasional mistakes. One of their biggest mistakes was getting involved in the Delaware Senate and House primaries.

Rove was exactly right. However, did the "ends" justify the means?

Yes, he "predicted" she'd lose. Then he went out of his way to make sure she did. The very definition of a "self fulfilling prophecy."

It shows forsight and knowledge to predict such a thing then sit back, watch, and keep your big fat pontificating mouth shut.

It's another thing entirely to predict....then use whatever power and "favors" you have left to ensure the outcome matches your prediction.

Mr. Rove fancies himself the kingmaker. As long as we give him such power, he'll use it. May I suggest we all ban the mention of his name or any reference to him on this site? From here on in, FR is "Roveless".

What Rove delivered from the get-go on Christine O’Donnell was no less than a verbal ASSAULT - not a MESSAGE.

To clarify; Rove was not a MESSENGER in this case. - He evidently didn’t like it that his RINO buddy lost the primary, so he played like Lisa Murkowski and went on attack. -

Funny. Democrats NEVER use this seemingly nice rationale about Republicans when it comes to “reaching across the aisle”. They ALWAYS hold the line (unless it’s in public relations game playing votes). You don’t have to be snotty to be firm about your convictions; but snotty is par for the course with Democrats.

Rove cost Odonnell the election in Delaware. He didn’t help Angle either.

Rove is an old boy GOP, RINO, party hack that needs to sit down and shut up, go to the corner, shut his face, put a sock in it, get called out for the traitorous POS that he is.

IBTZ.......IATZ?

Rove’s attacks on O’Donnell helped make this a self-fulfilling prophecy. Were it not for him, she would not have had to defuse the witch question. If Rove were genuinely interested in helping the GOP, he would have put his prediction in an envelope, mailed it to himself, and if the results were similar, opened it the day after the election and crow his head off.

By the way, if O’Donnell was such a non-starter, why did the Dems spend so much money there, and why did Obama and Biden make repeated visits?

Fiorina, Tancredo and McMahon also lost by large margins. Was that O’Donnell’s fault?

Anyway, not having Castle is still a net gain. We weren’t getting the senate anyway. Rove did a great job of getting the campaign off message.

It doesn’t matter who else he would beat in the general election if he can’t even make it out of the primary. Polls or no polls. If his own people don’t want him, he should join the other party.

You actually think an ad for O’Donnell changed people’s minds about votes for Miller?

Traitor Rove decided to trash O’Donnell on the day of her primary election for the Republican candidate. Just who trashes the Republican victor when they win? I also include others in this group Krauthammer...

Charles Krauthammer sometimes says very wise things and I think I like him, except then the next day or so he'll be very negative and comes across as an elitist. He made a disparaging remark about Senator Jim DeMint the other day, basically poo-pooing DeMint's outspokenness of late. That clarified for me where Krauthammer is coming from: he's consistently anti-Tea Party.

You are blind to demographics. There aren't enough tax payers in NJ to vote in a Republican. She lost for the same reason a good man like Sean Bielot lost to a rotten rump swab like Barney Frank.
