Karl Rove, The Master

Rove is right. He predicted how O'Donnell would flop and hinted that it could cost the GPO additional senate seats.... In my personal opinion, he was thinking about Alaska, Nevada, Colorado, Washington, etc. All of these should have been captured by the tea party. Personally, I think O'Donnell cost real conservatives senate seats. Say what you will... but Rove was right. Don't hate the messenger.

Conservatives didn’t want to be stuck with Castle and they are the ones who vote in the primaries. If a candidate can’t even get a majority of their own party to vote for him, he doesn’t deserve anything.

But then RINOs like democrat fraud rules anyway. Just ask Princess Lisa.

Ah, it was just your statement affirming Rove’s statement. It might be right, but you are agreeing with Rove without looking at his actions prior to the election.

Heck, I could have said that after all the condemnation from the GOP...not exactly a science. That made you suspect, I suppose... Don’t do that again... :^)

Every poll I saw during the primary had Castle beating the Democrat, and O’Donnell losing.

That’s ok. I wasn’t trying to be difficult, I just heard election night that polls said Castle would have lost too.

How is stating the obvious trolling?

Before you ask, yes, I supported Castle in the primary. I also contributed to O'Donnell's general election campaign even though I saw little chance of victory.

What is your point RC? A narrow Republican majority in the Senate would’ve given effective control to RINOs. They could’ve held any legislation hostage until conservatives gave them what they wanted. Is this what you wanted?

What it comes down to is a basic disagreement in strategy. In a deep blue state like Delaware, we have to compromise in order to not end up with an ultra liberal Democrat in office. Bette someone who votes with us 50% of the time than just 10%.

In red or even purple states, there is no need for such a compromise. Take Arizona for example. Conservatives should have been able to do better than John McCain.

It would have given control to Republicans period. Plus, Reps being in charge would have given incentive to the more moderate Dems and Independents to come our way if not outright change parties.

No, as I have said, I’m not at all happy with Rove’s handling of the Delaware Senate race even though I agreed with his prediction about the outcome of that race.

Not about to try to change your mind - you’re of the GOP mindset, all about winning, nothing about policy.

Bedtime...

We cannot hope to change policy without winning elections.

Good night.

That analysis is incorrect sir. I’ve seen the Republicans go through this time after time after time. A narrow Republican majority gives all the power to RINOs that will be able to hold bills hostage until conservatives cave into them. At least I know Democrats are my enemies. I’d rather have that than a RINO that pretends to be my friend. In addition having a Democrat instead of a squishy Republican allows conservatives to draw sharp contrasts between philosophies which can only help in the long run.

BTW Castle isn’t even a 50%er!!!!!
