Reconsider the omission or correct the mistaken omission.

What is an "active" ping? My comments page is working fine. Is the active ping a FR feature that in all my ten years I haven't noticed? Please advise.
Does it have anything to do with this?

"The disappearance of active pings is inconvient to say the least..." I got a rash on my "ping" once the Doctor said it was because I was too "active"...

Your apparent accusation would do better with some form of explanation.
Are you uptight, and outta-sight over NOT receiving an expected ping?
Something similar happened yesterday to me as well, BUT I knowing of server problems of which the fix was recently financed by FReepers participating in one very lengthy FReepathon, and believing John Robinson I assume hasn’t had the time to purchase new equipment, and install it yet ignored the event knowing that it will be fixed sometime in the near future.
You might wish to reconsider your accusation, and adopt a little bit of patience yourself as well.

No, but you’d better have Dynamic IP to use it.
