Good to see that the BCS has FINALLY gotten the number one spot correct!
What does it mean for the BCS when 3 of the top 5 schools are from the Mountain West Conference (Boise starts MWC play next season) and the Mountain West is a non AQ. In my mind it proves that the BCS is a complete and total sham. The MWC is rated higher than both the Big East and the ACC.
BCS = Big Crock of Shiite
BCS is a joke...I’m amazed at how well the Tigers have played and the level of opponent they have beaten and Oregon jumps them beating a 3 loss USC team, New Mexico, Portland St, and a couple other crap Pac 10 teams...? Ohio State blows out an opponent and drops. LSU doesn’t play and moves up?....WTF?
Everybody Duck! Duck!
Tulsa beat [snicker] Notre Dame.
Go Tulsa!
Boise State drops again. That’s all you need to know about the BullCrap System.
Of course Alabama will jump the BCS busters if they win out. The SEC winner could have two losses and still have a shot at doing this.
BCS, if they win out, will likely have beaten as many as five ranked teams in yet another undefeated season. Yet they will have absolutely NO chance at playing in the “Championship” game.
I refuse to recognize a College Football “Champion” so long as it is decided by exit polls, and not on the field. Want to prove it’s fair? Show me a Boise State has a chance in hell of ever playing for the “title.”
Maybe it means people who love and play football, not soccer, are leaving traditional football powerhouses.
I am surprised Michiganders don’t have to repair their uniforms or play in burkas, for example. No offense to Michigan ‘cuz parts are outstandingly pretty. Other rust belt states are just as bad. You’ve gotta have money to launch and fund a big team. And you’ve gotta have men that grew up as clod-hoppers with strong ankles, shoulders that lift tractors, necks that know swinging axes & handling chainsaws, and thighs like iron.
Oh, and I want Boise State to take the rest of them to the mat. And I’ve never been there. I just like ‘em and have for several years. And I don’t know why.
3, 4, and 5 are a joke. Schedule some real competition. Boise needs to put Alabama or Ohio State on its schedule. Smurf turfers are delusional.
They will NEVER give Boise State a shot at the “championship,” because they’ve seen them beat the “big boys.” They are scared to DEATH that Boise will beat the BCS conference team and bring the whole system tumbling down, so they’ve blacklisted them.
No matter what happens, or what Boise State does, they will never get a shot at it - never- No matter what.
I have nothing against Boise State, but the reason they can’t move up is they play a bunch of little teams. They are only playing 1 team in the top ten this season.
Sorry but you can’t win the rankings by playing the Little Sisters of the Poor every weekend.
Nobody wants to put Boise State on their schedule.

RUSTON, La. Is it cowardice or collusion?
Boise State athletic director Gene Bleymaier is all but begging for a major opponent any major opponent to play his Broncos, particularly in 2011. He can hardly get his calls returned. Not by the SEC. Not by the Big Ten. Not by anyone.
Bleymaier is making a nearly unheard of offer in college football scheduling Boise will bring its popular, high-profile, top-10 team to any stadium in any town to play any big name team in America in 2011. And they dont have to return the date in Idaho.
So far, no one has bit.
The school acknowledges it needs to play tougher teams. Yet how can they beat quality opponents if quality opponents wont play them?
Because of that field, I can't even stand to watch them on TV. What a disservice to everyone and the NCAA should ban field colors like that.
Ok, sorry for the rant, but I feel better now. :o)
Yeah. You’re right, of course. But give me men anyday, and I’ll show you heart. I just always see them as having heart.
Then again, I grew up on and still have a soft spot for the now non-existent Brownies.
TCU is legit IMO. They have spanked everybody, including Baylor at Waco.
Baylor may not be a top ranked team, but they are good.
TCU smashed Air Force too. And Air Force came within two points of beating Oklahoma in Norman.
Also, TCU will play Utah and have a chance to smoke them too.
At least TCU has a good argument for their spot.
You are full of crap.
By the end of the year, Boise will have beaten 4, possibly 5, ranked teams, including a top ten, BCS conference team in Virginia Tech - on the road. They have beaten Oregon the last two years (who were propped as a championship contender both times - though they don’t have to face Boise this year and have their hopes destroyed again), and are missing one starter from the team that won a BCS bowl last year.
Boise State has tried to get the BCS Conference teams to schedule them, which the BCS chiefs admitted before Congress. They don’t want to schedule Boise because a loss disproportionately hurts them in the BCS computers as opposed to a victory, which doesn’t help much. They’d rather schedule an inferior Notre Dame team because of the fixed computer “push.” It is they who lack the courage, not Boise State, who also asked to join a BCS conference when realignment was being discussed. They were dismissed because of “regional” issues (read: TV market).
Boise’s conference is a top five conference now, anyway, so it is really a weak herring.
You can bark all you want, but it is obvious you are afraid Boise will embarrass your BCS “champion.” I don’t blame you for being petrified, though, as they keep besting every big conference team they face.
I’m surprised USC doesn’t tackle with uppercuts or pass classes with redistribution of grades. Always have been.
The Boise program is top notch. The way to gage a power for a team is to compare their results at year end against where the teams they beat end up in the won-lost columns. If that measure is used we might have Boise playing the SEC champions for the national title. I’m looking forward to an Auburn v Boise or Alabama v Boise for the title ... but I’m a Tide fan for thirty plus years now.
