Good evening!
Election Week has arrived, and with it we hope ~~real hope ~~ the beginning of a return to sanity.
So many races to follow after many days of effort.
I think that with very few exceptions we can be proud of our side and the campaigns waged on principle and ideas, and many small contributions from many different sources. It's been amazing!
I know that you’ve been stitching; you’re very very good. And you basically described my life. I get up, putter, head back to bed about 3 hours later, NOT because I’m tired, but because if I don’t I will have shooting pains down my legs. So I’m looking for stuff I can do horizontally.
But I need exercise! Although I develop back pain so easily. I can either be an invalid and avoid developing pain. Or I can do something and then be invalided with pain.
Eat a steak. It always makes me feel better.
If I remember correctly with Greg's mom it was 5 years prior application of Medicaid for transfer of home and 3 years look back for dollar amounts.
Thanks. I hate to see her go through this because she is a nice woman. Her stress level is maxed out because her sister is no help at all.
Good one.
Sushi——yuck.
Hello UG, thanks for the post. The RAT machine is well established in the large Nevada cities, must’ve been able to pull it off..or steal it.
I don’t understand it either, really.
I meant to add that she went to an attorney who only made her more confused and his fees are over $3800.00.
I don’t hold much hope for WA. Seattle and all....
As for Murkowski, people like her tend to eventually do themselves in. Pride goeth before a fall....
I don’t know the specifics but there might be a social worker or at least a designated person at the nursing home that know or be able to point them in the right direction.
Even the nursing home administrator might be someone who could help them.
I’ve been hearing for sosme time about an AZ-like bill in the works, and I’ve forgotten who is heading it up. I’m sure Gov. Perry is all for it. We need to do something about this invasion and insults as they cross our borders. I’ve hired Mexicans, legal, and found them very good workers, careful and honest. But the influx happening today is too much. Have you been affected by the illegals?
How could I forget that? You are right. A social worker helped us with Greg’s mom. Thanks.
I think we’re all affected by illegals in our insurance premiums, taxes etc. But I know what you mean, and no, nothing directly for us, although there have been some incidents in this area.
One drown in the pond close to the park, when a bunch of them from Guatemala were hiding from the border patrol in the pond.
You’re most welcome. Think I’ll call it a night, good night all.
Good night.
I don’t think the cost of the aircraft, fuel, crews, wear and tear on aircraft equipment has been taken into consideration of this money being spent. Do you know something 2/3s? I think we need to remember this fellow is his kenyian father’s son, and kenyians, when they gain power live the life style this muslim/communist is living. Look how Mugabe is living. Tells us something.
"One interesting note about the governors race in Wisconsin is that it defied what has been referred to as the 60 percent rule. According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, since 1980, Democrats running for president, senator or governor in Wisconsin were 17 for 17 when winning 60 percent or more of the vote in Milwaukee County. When they fell short of 60%, they were 0 for 8. Despite winning 62% in Milwaukee County, Democrat Tom Barrett was defeated by Republican Scott Walker. "
How cool is that??!!
I don’t blame you U.G. Bennett and Hatch have in there forever and are weak sisters, like to be “nice” to the opposition.
I'm not saying we should let them stay, but the immigration authorities could have a little heart, let the father finish his medical treatments, and the son graduate from high school early. 2 more months? The family is willing to go because they have had appeals and will live by the ruling. However, if they do go back to Argentina and something happens to them, I would sure be suing the immigration office.
Bingo! “reach across the aisle” my eye. One can be nice but firm with the dim dems.
I think I’m going to read a bit and probably fall asleep holding the book.
I think some of the election conventional wisdom went by the wayside last night. Nice to see you.
And of course, Utahns did their duty and sent 2 Republican representatives and one senator back to Washington DC. Now to get rid of Jim Matheson and Orrin Hatch in 2012. Matheson is known as a blue dog Democrat, but he voted with Pelosi 92.3% of the time. Morgan Philpot, the Republican challenger came within 2 points last night of beating Matheson. It can be done.
