Election Week has arrived, and with it we hope ~~real hope ~~ the beginning of a return to sanity.

So many races to follow after many days of effort.

I think that with very few exceptions we can be proud of our side and the campaigns waged on principle and ideas, and many small contributions from many different sources. It's been amazing!

Armenian. My granddad emmigrated to the US in 1922. Up until that time, the family name was Djemjemian. But, he decided to drop the first Djem, along with the D, to make it simpler. Jemian is my maiden name.

This looks like all I ate last night watching the results, sheesh.

So far, so good, was wishing far more on our side winning but give us time, the flood gate has been opened....more and
more are going to see the light, thy just have to, we are in deep stuff here in the USoA.

We put one of our reps out to pasture yesterday here on the coast, he was a good boy but amazing all of us felt he has done his tour (20 years) and time to come home, he is coming home.....

Have to admit, stayed up all night, coffee logged, full with snacks, not hungry one bit and might as well tell ya, wished I had not eaten all those tid bits.

Rain with thunder boomers here, TV off but got computer and radio and will not have withdrawals.

Yes, I’m 1/4 Armenian. I was told that most people whose names end in -ian are Armenian.

No, I haven’t read that book yet. I’ve read Anahid and Daredevils of Sassoon, but not that one.

We have thought about that..rent with option to buy. The only thing stopping us is a bad deal we had when I sold my Hannibal house years ago with that option. The people defaulted on payment for over 4 months and it took another six months to evict the people.

Still, it's an option that must be thought out.

I think you are on to something with the cheating -- but it looks like it only works for statewide races (like Sen, Gov, etc).

They are telling a story in the MD race for Guv in which one of the Baltimore polling places in a big precinct had 13 machines, but turnout was light. Of the 13 machines, no machine had more than 50-80 votes on it -- except for the two machines in the middle, each of which had over 500 votes. Given the rate of voters and the fact that it was early morning, and given that the voters are directed to the next machine in sequence (so that each machine should have had the same number of votes on it as the others give or take a few), these 2 machines represented a physical impossibility.

So the poll watchers asked to see the serial numbers of the machines -- and they were DENIED by the election judges! Now how much you wanna bet all of those votes on those 2 machines were for the sleazeball Dem. Guv. O'Malley???

Also, in NV, SEIU has the support contracts for all of the voting machines, contracts awarded by Dingy Harry's son Rory, and those machines just happened to start 'mysteriously' pre-setting with Harry Reid's name already checked...disgusting...;-))
