Good evening!
Election Week has arrived, and with it we hope ~~real hope ~~ the beginning of a return to sanity.
So many races to follow after many days of effort.
I think that with very few exceptions we can be proud of our side and the campaigns waged on principle and ideas, and many small contributions from many different sources. It's been amazing!
Jem. Thanks. I knew he lost, I just read somewhere this morning that he didn’t concede, but I guess he did.
Go Granny go Granny go go go!! Congratulations.
Boy, that looks delicious!
Good morning.
I can't seem to get this smile off my face.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning...
5.56mm
Clever.
I know you did!! And a year or so ago, I told you that God had bigger plans for you!
Good morning everybody. FR had slooooowed doooown so much last night I couldn’t get anything to post so finally gave up and went to bed about 1:30.
All in all, a very good night. A few disappointments, but then we’re just getting started. I have to agree with Geraldine Ferraro actually, she said on Fox that while it’s clear the Tea Party had influence in the district races, when it comes to state wide races, they don’t have the organization. I think that’s accurate and also that will happen but it’ll take time.
Now I’m off to see the actual numbers and how close my predictions were overall.
Congratulations, Iowa Granny! We’re proud of you!
A very groggy and good morning to everyone.
It seems the big win last night was in the state houses across the country, including IG’s win in Iowa. She deserves a huge THANK YOU for what she went through.
A friend and fellow tea partier called last night at 11 pm and he was pumped....saying this is just the beginning of the fight. He is ready for the next round of battles.
I am very disappointed in the senate races. Lots of mixed emotions here.
Just saw a very gracious Michael Steele thank the tea partiers for the GOP resurgence. John Boehner gave a very good speech last night, hitting all the right points and with a measured tone and demeanor. The tears were genuine.
We all need a little nutrishment after the long night. :-o
Good morning , Mike.
Organization = they cheat we don't.
I wish I could understand that data, but after little sleep I don’t know data from a donut. ;-)
Blake Farenthold (R) beats US Rep. Solomon Ortiz by 799 votes (Huge Upset in TX 27)
I didn’t see the concession speech. What idiots we have in NYS!
There’s a lot to that, for sure. I am surprised at Kirk’s victory, I had only a slim hope he’d win and had pretty much discounted that in my tallying.
They still must be tabluating because I don’t see an actual number of seats won in the House yet. Will keep looking.
Must go see if Frazier won, he was down last I knew.
Our Local paper's headline: Republicans sweep statewide offices.
SWEET, and the paper is no friend of the Rs, so that made it extra satisfying.
I had a good time working yesterday, making calls, and handing out lit at 1 polling place, and helping a precinct captain at another keep track of his voters.
The young group working on the one successful campaign was fun to be around, and I made sure to give them some positive feedback. They are the future, not me.
Many positive comments yesterday, the only negative: a surly Dem...
It seems Stewart's rally to Restore Sanity worked!! Funny comment on another forum
Could be true
Thank you for all of your good wishes. We worked so hard to regain the majority in the Iowa Senate and came up short. But we FLIPPED 5 seats. With 2 seats yet undecided.
The Iowa House will have an overwhelming majority, after 4 years of wandering in the wilderness. The D who won my seat when I retired from the House, lost to the same challenger as last time.
You in Florida did very well. Very well indeed.
