Royal Blood May Be Hidden Inside Decorated Gourd

The gourd, originally used to store gunpowder, was extensively decorated on the outside with a flame tool. Burned into its surface is the text: "Maximilien Bourdaloue on January 21st, dipped his handkerchief in the blood of Louis XVI after his beheading. It is described in contemporaneous accounts that there was a lot of blood in the scaffold after the beheading and that, in fact, many people went there to dip their handkerchiefs in the blood," Carles Lalueza-Fox, lead author of the study and a researcher at Spain's Institute of Evolutionary Biology, told Discovery News.

The handkerchief is now missing from the gourd, but Lalueza-Fox and his team identified a brownish substance on the interior of the dried squash. Biochemical tests determined that the substance was dried blood.

Lalueza-Fox recalled that the king was known for his blue eyes, featured prominently in paintings. He then got the idea of looking for the blue eyes mutation within the dried blood's DNA. The scientists found this mutation, at a gene called HERC2.

The researchers also analyzed other aspects of the blood's genetics, such as its mitochondrial DNA profile, its Y chromosome profile and some other markers. These all revealed that the DNA profile "found inside the gourd is extremely rare in modern Eurasians," suggesting that it may derive from a royal bloodline...

As luck would have it, a probable organ from such an individual exists. A heart located in a royal French crypt is thought to belong to the king's son, Louis XVII, who died when he was just 10 years old. The heart was cut from the young boy's tumor-ridden body and pickled after Louis XVII spent three horrific years in Paris' Temple Prison.

There is no such thing as royal blood. Only idiots and followers believe there is. We all bleed the same.

“There is no such thing as royal blood.” — Argument by assertion

“Only idiots and followers believe there is.” —Ad hominem

“We all bleed the same.” — Not a mutually exclusive proposition.

Stating what is true is never ad hominem.

Together, the human remains are reminders of the brutal, 10-year-long French Revolution, which saw the collapse of the country's absolute monarchy.

Sometimes....history repeats itself

This is very interesting to me. I happen to be reading a book by Marie Antoinette’s lady in waiting, or servant, who was very close to her for many years, and somehow survived the reign of terror. The book was written about 1802.

The blood in the gourd belonged to the King, Louis XVI, who was Marie Antoinette’s husband. He was guillotined 5 months before her.

For anyone who is interested in the translation of the words written on the gourd, I’ve tried to obtain a translation using the internet. If anyone can read French, please feel free to correct me. I speak no French, whatsoever. But some of this is so cryptic! To me it looks as if someone named ‘eagle’ got 500 dollars?

LE ROY N’EST PLUS = THE KING IS MORE

LA NATION = THE NATION

LA LOY = LA LOY?

TERMINEE AUJOURD MUI 18 de 77?? 1793 JEAN ROUX CITOYEN PARISIEN AUTEUR = ENDED TODAY 18 of 77? 1793 RED JEAN CITIZEN PARISIAN AUTHOR

JE ME CHARGEA DES L’OUURAGER AINSI POUR EN FAIRE CADEAU A L’AIGLE QUI VIENDRA M APPORTER TES CINQ CENT FRANCS = I will take the OUURAGER The WELL TO MAKE A GIFT TO THE EAGLE WILL BRING YOUR M FIVE HUNDRED FRANCS

“Maximilien Bourdaloue LE 21st LE JANUIER DE CETTE ANNEE IMBI LA SON MOUCHOIR DANS LE SANG DE LOUIS XVI APRES SA DECOLLATION = “Maximilian Bourdaloue ON THE 21st OF THIS YEAR JANUIER Imbi ITS THE TISSUE IN THE BLOOD OF LOUIS XVI after his decapitation

(”Maximilien Bourdaloue on January 21st, dipped his handkerchief in the blood of Louis XVI after his beheading) FROM ARTICLE ABOVE.

Royal by who's definition?

Um, it's a historical fact... you can argue that there should be no kings, that's fine but you're arguing that it isn't royal blood. Historically speaking, it would be, because he was king.

Now that we have the semantics out of the way, there should be no kings. His blood is the same as ours. Off with his head!!! LOL

You have that right, “Royal by who's definition”.

All the so called royal’s got there by killing and plundering more then other criminals. The royals through out history have oppressed and brought misery upon humanity, good riddance to all who would declare themselves king or queen!

There might be some ability to argue that point.

The book “Holy Blood, Holy Grail”; outlined the theory that the Merovingian Dynasty was the direct progeny of Jesus Christ through Mary Magdalene. If so, the the Merovingians could rightfully claim that they had “royal” blood.

Anyone who takes up the care of the common good, has authority from God to govern, but the method of “ascending the throne” has to be agreed upon. It can be by lots, by a vote, by contest, by birth, etc....It can also be rule by one, rule by few, or rule by many.

The method of choosing the next king by birth was the norm for thousands of years, and it worked reasonably well so long as Faith and morality were strong.

It was not until the 20th century, when we had “kings” devoted to atheistic ideals, that millions were killed. If the king or queen is accountable to God for the authority that he or she wields, there is a high probability that justice will be found.

Why bring an obvious lying blasphemy into this discussion, unless you have no interest in the truth?

The book holy blood, holy grail, is TOTAL B.S. Royalty is an excuse to steal, Henry VIII declared himself god on earth so he could rape and pillage. Sam 8:11 tell us what to expect from earthly kings.

These articles that talk about various attributes of DNA without mentioning the haplogroups are hiding something. (Usually the truth)

Gentlemen,

I was just bringing up a data point. I DO NOT agree with the author’s premise, although some of the Merovingian points are interesting.

However, I do believe that some parts of the French National character could be explained by their “belief” that they are directly related to Jesus Christ.

I’ll keep that in mind next time I don’t write the headline. :’)

The way the nobility carried on, it’s a wonder the feudal system took that long to die.

In many respects it isn't dead yet.
