NBC has canceled Outlaw. This news isnt particularly surprising on the heels of another low-rated Friday performance (a 1.0 rating with adults 18-49) following an announced production shutdown,
NBC will just fill the 10pm hour with another hour of Dateline beginning this Friday, October 15 . NBC had been running Dateline from 8pm-10pm, and with the premiere of School Pride this Friday, will just shift Dateline to 9p-11p.
NBC will burn off the remaining four episodes of Outlaw at 8pm over the next 5 Saturdays (preempted on October 30 for scheduled repeats of Halloween specials).
Other shows already canceled:
ABC My Generation
Fox Lone Star
ABC Family Huge
He does that uncomfortable Vincent D'onofrio thing of looking at you askew, up close and stating accusingly something very unnerving.
I have a love/hate relationship with "Lie To Me" ... I think it will ultimately be cancelled.
Jimmy has a difficult time finding a series that doesn’t get cancelled out from under him.
He won the presidency in West Wing and it got cancelled.
He tried to be the drug kingpin and that one got cancelled.
Now, he is a SC justice and it gets cancelled.
He would have better luck back on Dexter, except that Dexter cut him up and threw him out in the ocean.
This show was up against Tom Selleck in Blue Bloods, and date night.
I haven’t watched a crime drama in many, many years. Boring & discouraging!
Never saw Outlaw, so good riddance.
Outlaw was my pick as the first new fall program that would get pulled/cancelled.
Lonestar and My Generation beat it by a few days.
It was also up against common sense.
From what I understand, since I never saw it, it was about a lawyer, who as a judge, leaves a comfortable lifetime appointment with all the perks and does something ...noble and altruistic.
In the last episode will they have 0bama praising Bush and Republicans while sipping a Slurpee?
Friday is where networks send shows - sometimes good ones - to die.
The show was crazy left-wing propaganda. And now it has crashed to the ground. Result!
Me too. The show is loaded with left-wing toxins, and yet Tim Roth can act.
Dennis Miller had an actress on promoting her own show, and said a friend was on Lonestar and had already gotten the news.
Without seeing it, I could have told them that Lonestar was doomed to fail with a growing disgust of all the real-life con artists in the Obama Administration in particular, and Washington in general.
Maybe Fox just guessed wrong on where the culture was going to be at this time.
Smits, and his choice of projects, never appealed to me, so I guess I'm not surprised at one of "vehicles" getting cancelled so early.
Just another guy with the "Ted McGinley" syndrome. Maybe he could pull a "Garry Shandling" and sue his agent/manager.
BTW .. I stole this from your home page
I know most of us avoid the MSM and especially the news divisions but have you seen these news magazines lately? The Friday night versions (20/20, Dateline) regularly attempt to scare the hell out of senior citizens with all manner of ‘danger is lurking around every corner’ stories. Microwaves will explode! Bacteria live on your kitchen faucet! etc.
They tried to turn Y2K into Armageddon and more than one senior was heard to worry that the banks would fail on 1/1/2000 and they would lose every penny.
/8^)
Saw the upcoming preview commercial for it, and told the wife, NBC has another off target bomb coming on. They would have had better ratings if they put on a Judge Dread type series instead of this bleeding heart crap.
The Good Guys is an example of that. The show is really quite funny, with decent action, and no political slant to note.
