Noah Mitchell faces animal cruelty charges for body slamming pet
A Key Largo man is in jail after he allegedly beat his dog nearly to death after it tried to run from him and then stole his steak.
"Bubba," a black Labrador, is in seriously bad shape after his owner, Noah Mitchell, performed a knee drop on the dog and dragged it around by the neck after getting mad at his pet over the weekend.
According to a police report quoting an eyewitness, Mitchell first got angry after the dog tried to run from him outside on Oct. 3.
Once dragged inside, Bubba snatched a steak from the kitchen counter and that set Mitchell off even more.
The man first body slammed the dog on the ground and then performed a knee drop on the canine. Then Mitchell tossed an unconscious Bubba in his cage.
Bubba suffered a collapsed lung, damage to his larynx and fractured ribs, veterinarians said. If Bubba was an hour later getting treatment, he would have died.
The 33-year-old faces animal cruelty charges. As for Bubba, he is being cared for at the South Dade Animal Hospital.
Dogs, especially labs and Goldens, will eat anything they see that even looks like food, to punish them for that very doggie behavior is simply evil.
Dont forget the atomic knee-drop to the ribs.
When my husband and I were dating, my sister’s little
poodle grabbedd his last piece of pizza out of his hand.
I thought it was pretty funny, poor dog, he kept waiting
to be offered a piece, figured he was done being polite.
Great idea! I forgot to add that.
What a loser. This guy needs a serious old school blanket party.
Once on Prairie Home Companion (yes - that lib Garrison Keillor) there was an episode ‘It's been a quiet week in Lake Wobegon’ about ‘Bruno The Fishing Dog.’
In the end, Bruno (a black lab) grabbed a salmon off of a table.
It was(is) a priceless story.
The dog was just doing what it was programmed to do (both Bruno and this poor dog).
How classy.
Agree....does the report say who took the pup to the vet ?
This punk needs some quality time with Bubba in a cell.
Had this taken place in another part of the world, Bubba would have been the steak.
Our dogs stole an entire dinner worth of steaks once when we turned our backs.
We laughed about it. It was our fault, after all.
Sure, this dog deserves all this sympathy, but what about the poor cow.
Sure, this dog deserves all this sympathy, but what about the poor cow?
About a month ago a good buddy of mine had 17 giant polish sausages in a cooler in the back of his pickup truck, along with his dog. On the way home the dog opened the cooler and ate all 17 sausages.
We got a good laugh out of it. He said, “oh, I really wanted to let him have it but what can you do? I didn’t catch him in the act. And you can’t blame a dog for eating hot dogs when he finds them.”
This guy looks a bit short of a dim bulb. My daughter and son in law and family have two black labs, both adopted young but not puppy, the second one recent. They have never been hit, but both are trained to be well behaved (unless you want to play) and respond to commands. They know who their alpha is. The dogs are welcome in my house.
We had a Newfie mix, I had just cooked a roast and had it on the carving board. My son called out to me, left the kitchen for what seemed like a minute, came back and the meat was gone, not even a dripping left. Stood there for a second completely dumb struck.....looked over and there was Zack just sitting in the corner. I was more amazed at the speed he devoured it than mad.
Put him in a cage with a hungry lion....make him wear a steak around his neck.
Hopefully he gets body slammed in prison.
The courts should never allow him to own a pet again.
One time, my 8 month old kitty got to the bag of groceries I placed on the couch as I had to run to the bathroom. He made good use of the time, and got right to the raw chicken. I could only marvel at his work, as he knew enough to leave the scene and act like he was sleeping when I came down. He gave his best drowsy “Who, me?” look.
The same spoiled kitty was in the car with me at the McDonalds. I offered him a bite of my McDonalds cheeseburger. I expected him to just bite off a piece of beef. Not him. He clomped his right from set of claws on top, his left fromt on the bottom, and pulle the whole burger away in the blink of an eye before I could tighten my grip. He then ate the whole thing without taking it apart. meat, bread, pickle. These sorts of events are half the fun of owning pets. Food drives them.
Hopefully there is foster care for dogs, and this poor puppy will never will never have to see this creep again.
