And what was it meant to portray (though crudely, since it's Hillary)? Why, how feminine Hillary is, of course! Why, just look, she's SO feminine she has to put lipstick on in the middle of a UN Security Council meeting while talking with the president of Turkey! Yes, it's THAT important to her! Because she so, so, sooooooooooooo feminine!
And why might THAT impression be soooooooo important for Hillary to get out about herself, at this particular point in time?
Well, lemme think. Is there ANYONE ELSE who Hillary might have to RUN AGAINST who might be known for her femininity? Who might, in fact, be known for how she combines her femininity with her political, administrative and leadership abilities? Does anyone come to mind AT ALL?

I was taught that putting on makeup in public is rude and ill mannered.
But in that venue, representing the US and as Sect of State!!!
The woman is so unbelievably tacky. It’s tasteless/tacky to put your lipstick on in public. Coming from her though, I’m not surprised...anyone who would wear their hair like she did last week is tacky from head-to-toe, inside-n-out. (as an aside...at least her hair is an improvement this week vs. last.)
She actually looks better there than in some of her recent photos, which isn’t saying much.
Good point. Given how long Hillary has been in the public domain, have we ever, and I mean EVER, seen a photo of her putting lipstick, powdering her nose, etc.? All phoney...all staged to be sure.
