Retired Gen. Colin Powell, a moderate Republican who endorsed Barack Obama in 2008, says the president's critics should be going after him on policy, not "nonsense."
"Fringe" elements on the right are taking a low road when they label Obama a foreign-born Muslim and peddle other theories about non-American influences on the president's character, Powell said Sunday. Obama was born in the U.S. and is Christian.
The former secretary of state said he still sees Obama as a transformational figure, if one who has lost some of his ability to connect with people.
Powell welcomed Obama's policies in health care and education while saying the president may have taken on too many problems at once and not done enough to control the deficit.
"There are so many rocks in our knapsack now that we're having trouble carrying it," he said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

When Colon Blow speaks I am reminded of what a Wise Guy once did to an idiot. Wise guy turned his back on the idiot that was popping off. Wise guy looked at his friend. Then Wise Guy yelled at the top of his lungs in his friend’s face, “You know, I’m listening and it’s all blah blah blah but I don’t recall asking your f@&king opinion.” Idiot was so confused because the Wise Guy was yelling at his friend instead of him. It confused the idiot so much he stopped talking. Never opened his mouth again.
Now, as I was saying, we need to roll back radical fascism and return to the values of the US Constitution and free market principles.

And he went to church this Sunday to prove he's a Christian (aren't you convinced?)...... sort of like he was a member of a S. Chicago church in a neighborhood he was running office for which he later distanced himself from............. It's all about appearances, and asking the most obvious and yes, logical questions has become taboo in our society.

While I do not care for Powells politics I do remember him doing his updates on the initial Iraq war.
This guy is very smart and very capeable.
He is not quite like obammy the quota, affirmative action boy.
So?...When did 60% of the nation become “fringe”? Nearly 6 out of 10 Americans have serious questions about Obama’s natural born status.
As for Obama’s religion. It is **rational** to question his acceptance to Christianity.
** Obama attended a Muslim school.
** We have pictures of him wearing Muslim garb.
** He recited the call to prayer flawlessly and called the the most beautiful sound.
** Photos show that with his second attempt at his swearing in he did not use a bible. He merely raised his right hand.
** He celebrates Ramadan with a state dinner but fails to observe the National Day of Prayer.
** When he quotes the Declaration of Independence he ignores the “by our Creator” part.
** He doesn't give Christmas presents to his children
** We have photos of him bowing to a Saudi.
** In his book he states he will stand with the Muslims.
** His wife does not travel with him to Muslim nations.
I am sure there is more. So?....What is a rational person to think? The man is NOT NOT NOT a normal American!

Exactly HOW do you know where Hussein was born, or what religion—if ANY—he follows, Colin??? No one in the media will do the workk necessary to find out—some surprise, huh!! And Hussein has made it ILLEGAL via Executive order to do any actual digging!!
Powell and Obama have a lot in common, it seems. They can sound intelligent and thoughtful, but inside, they’re both clueless about the real world.

I liked him initially but quickly had to peg him as a not so closetted globalist. He’s been singing the globalist tunes and dancing the globalist two-step ever more clearly ever since.

Don’t care what Colon Powell has to say about anything..he’s a racist affirmative action mediocrity in a uniform.
Powell was a very undistinguished student, and his plan for Desrt Storm was ignored because it was entirely anachronistic.
