The U.S. Department of Education is currently conducting an important national research study about adult job training and education. This short survey is the first step in a study about job and career training opportunities for people of all ages. It will let us know if anyone in your household is eligible for the study.
Each household is different and we need your response so we can contact you to administer a survey that is right for your household.
Return the form even if no one in your household is currently in an adult training or education program. The survey should be filled out by an adult household member living at this address.
A $2.00 bill was included with the survey to compensate me for the 3 minutes of my time they estimated it would take to complete the survey. My question is: If I do this today, am I entitled to time and a half, or double time? Also, if I am contacted by phone to add more information, will that be at the $40.00 per hour rate? I am a very slow talker.
Better that than a $3 bill for 2 minutes of your time, I suppose. (Except, yes, I know, we’re the ones paying!)
Hmmm, very Nielsen TV survey-like for them to do that.
I’ve receive the Nielsen survey twice - both times 2 dollars have been included in the envelope.
I hear that if you are in a minority demographic they will include larger denominations $5 - $30....to get the TV surveys back.
Would that be Part II of the Big Brother Census?
Does not appear to be related to census. This is sent to: Resident, Ask how many over 18, First name, initials, or nickname, how old, sex, highest level of education, contact phone number and type of phone. I guess any follow up may want more identifiable information. Could get disposable phone to list. They would have to use GPS to locate me while on phone. I could destroy it as soon as survey completed.
You could take 4 surveys at your $.50 rate.
It was sent to Resident but you can’t ransfer it to someone else? Ok, sounds more like Part II of the old third world send me money email scam.
Hardly seems worth the effort.
I remember my family getting a Nielsen survey back in the mid-70s and we did get a $5 bill in the mail.
Unsolicited gifts in the mail are yours to keep. Take the loot and bin the survey.
Will do exactly that. I am bringing the $2.00 to store and spend it this morning in case there is a tracking chip embedded in it.
