'Unprofessional' Jets spark conduct training plan (NFL wants players to find their feminine side)

The NFL will implement a workplace conduct training programme after finding the New York Jets acted unprofessionally in the case of a female television reporter who said she felt "uncomfortable" in their locker room.

Commissioner Roger Goodell said the conduct of the Jets "clearly should have been better" but also stressed that his investigation of the matter found no evidence that TV Azteca reporter Ines Sainz was "bumped, touched, brushed against or otherwise subjected to any physical contact" by any player or coach.

Goodell said it did appear that during the practice some Jets team members purposely threw footballs in her direction.

However, in a letter to Jets owner Woody Johnson, Goodell said: "Sainz herself was unequivocal in saying both that no physical contact occurred, and that no player or other Jets staff member made any comment or gesture that could be construed as threatening, demeaning or offensive."

The upshot is that the NFL will implement a training programme for all 32 teams on proper conduct in the workplace and the programme will be underwritten by Johnson.

I would sue the reporter for sexual harrasment. I’d take her for every penny if she came in and I was butt naked in a situation like this.

Meanwhile Inez can continue to sell her sexuality and post near-nude internet photos and her TV station can sell her body for ratings. Not that I mind all that, but spare me the poor woman in the mens locker room routine

They keep talking about workplace harassment but it seems like it's more the player's workplace than hers.

Perhaps the reporter should take a class on how to act/dress/speak like a LADY. Trying to force FOOTBALL players to find their feminine side is ridiculous. Just a thought.

I would sue the shirt right off of her back.

The last bastion of manliness...now dissolving into forced wussiness. This trend started in the 90’s and now, because of that little trollop, PC is kicking in at full speed.

That little skank asks for that sort of treatment everytime she dresses that way. Wants the attention but yet when she gets the attention, it’s not the kind she wanted so she whines and now the entire league is going to get re-educated. Sickening... jmho of course

In all seriousness - have there been any locker room interviews by male reporters of female players (soccer, volleyball, basketball, whatever)?

The young woman in question walks into an all-male environment in skimpy attire.

Sounds like she needs to be sent to a mandatory 12 week course in common sense.

Bring in lots of good looking women to hang out in the locker room and the players will eventually get used to it.

The players should find their masculine side and tell the NFL to go to hell.

Where is players’ union? This is locker room harassment. Fishbowl by ownership fiat.

If I were an NFL player, I simply would not change until the reporters were all gone.
