I will be handling this thread on a temporary basis only, and as time and health permits. You people are used to - and deserve - more. Hopefully, someone more qualified will step up and take this over. :)

Survivor: Nicaragua is the 21st season of Survivor. It will moving to Wednesday nights this season. In fact, it begins tonight, September 15, 2010, 8/7c.
The theme this season will be Young vs Old. The players will include a former NFL coach (Jimmy Johnson) and an amputee triathlete champion (Kelly Bruno).
From Wikipedia:
Survivor host Jeff Probst, has also announced that the Hidden Immunity Idol will continue to be used in the game. However, as idols have been found too easily the past two seasons (most often by Russell Hantz), or as the show's producers have dubbed it, "The Russell Factor", the idol will be hidden differently. The clues to the idols' locations will be visual rather than written as in past seasons. In addition, the tribes will be vying for control of a new item, the Medallion of Power, that, when used, gives an advantage in a challenge, but is then transferred to the other tribe.
Let's meet the players.
Here are photos of the players.
Listed below are links to player profiles. They include a video clip of the player, which is, unfortunately preceded by a short - but annoying - ad.
La Flor (age: 30 and under)
.
Espada (age: over 40)
Yeah, but if it is what I’m thinking, I’m not going to like who gets booted. Hopefully, I’m wrong.
Now that everyone has seen it - wow, I can’t believe both of them just wimped out. Stupid, stupid. Ten days to a chance at a million. Not that either would win, but every day they stay is that much more money they get and each day they get a larger amount. I thought Ghetto would change her mind and stay but after that snarky act of selfishness, I’d have voted her rear out so fast that Jeff wouldn’t need to “snuff” her torch. Holly gained herself a couple more days with the rice so good for her. She’s starting to move over to my like list. How Holly couldn’t see through Ghetto is unbelievable but perhaps their perspectives are different in the moment. You know if Ghetto had been able to find a way to the voting booth, she’d have voted for Obama and is still waiting for him to pay her rent and give her a new car - gimme, gimme.
Notice that Holly said Jane would have given up movie night to give others rice, too. I wonder if Dan was allowed to sacrifice or not. He should have stepped up since he didn’t participate in the challenge. Does anyone else find it strange they have been having so many challenges this season where someone sits out. In the past, they’ve tried to do team challenges when there were even numbered people but not this year.
It seemed like Jeff wanted to give Kelly every last chance to stay but she just couldn’t see it. Again, stupid, stupid. If you don’t have the fortitude to stick it out, you shouldn’t have taken a spot someone else would have appreciated more. In seasons past, they would have asked to be voted out but these two were just plain quitters. Can we assume no one will be voted out next week to make up for Kelly’s departure?
Does Jane have an ounce of fat left to lose? She’s looking worse every day.
Did y’all see that look of determination and go for the win in Fabio’s eyes? Showing that is basically like putting a star above his head like Mark did in Africia for whats his face.
When you think that those sitting on the jury came to play the game, it has to really “P” them off that these two jerks just up and quit the game. I imagine they’ll be getting a chilly reception at Ponderosa - in fact, I’d boot them from the jury altogether.
Burnett needs to change his contract with these people - if you quit the show, all monies you have “earned” from the show are forfeit.
And I wish Ghetto luck. Her snotty and mean comments about a woman with an artificial limb should pretty much seal her fate with her job back home. As I recall, a creep on Big Brother made fun of the mentally disabled and was fired from his job working with autistic children when he was finished with the show.
Yes, I wanted Jeff to say they weren’t allowed to even stay on the jury and send them home. Just think, now they’ll have Marty’s mouth to contend with for the next 10 days which is 10 times worse than cold rain and rice, hahahahahaha!
All that trash talking and bravado from Ghetto..and then she quits..bahahahaha...I hope she loses her job. I wouldn’t want her teaching children.
I am looking forward to the finale.
It's doubtful. SeeBS has already announced the final episode will air on the 19th.
So....
If we assume a final three (with a 9 member Jury) and the last two players get their torches snuffed on the 19th, then one player will need to get their torch snuffed on the 8th and another on the 15th.
Assuming no one else quits that is! And if that happens, then this show is toast!
Oh and by the way, Ghetto not giving up her spot knowing she was going to be quitting is one of the most selfish things I have seen on Survivor...
I don't agree with those two quitters sitting on the jury, but they left the show in an awkward position. Mark Burnett probably had no choice BUT to allow them on the jury. If it were me, I'd put them in tents at the Ponderosa and make them eat rice. I don't see how NaOnka will be able to stay mute while sitting on the jury. Maybe we'll get to see them duct tape her mouth.
Do we know with absolute certainty that these two will serve on the jury? Jeff was pretty disgusted. I would send them home.
I hope somebody has a Sue Hawk “Rat and Snake” commentary lined up for N-onkey Donkey.
Lol, great minds! I was just over reading Sue’s “Rat and Snake” speech. Susan was great. Nothing will ever beat Season 1.
The first season was a classic and none since has compared. I wonder why Sue hasn't been on any previous seasons where past players have come back? She was something else.
I know a lot of you are angry right now because Naonka and Purple Kelly are allowed to be on the jury, so let me explain.
The reason they will both be members of the jury is because a precedent had already been set back when Janu quit in Survivor: Palau. Janu quit the game but was allowed to be on the jury, so we used the same reasoning with Naonka and Purple Kelly. It wasnt an emotional decision, just an issue of fairness.
“..so we used the same reasoning...”
Which was...?!?!?!?
LOL!

This is a new Survivor ping list. The old list is no longer available, so I would appreciate it if any of you could ping interested parties to this thread. Thank you. :)
If you wish to be added to or removed from it please let me know.
I will be handling this thread on a temporary basis only.
Most people play the game out of their character but NaDonkey played the game the way the lives her life. She's nothing more than a typical "ghetto ho" living in suburbia. She's a self serving liar, a cheat, a whiner, and a person any employer should be very, very wary of hiring.
She's the most "true to character" evil and lying individual I have ever seen on Survivor.............
Someone in the cast should have taken her to the other side of the island and drowned her just to save society from her presence.......
From Jeff’s blog - “Dan doesnt need to do anything; its been working for 28 days. Why change?”
That’s so true. How Dan has lasted this long is beyond me. He should have been out the second tribal council, but he’s still there, lol.
“I dont think Naonka is going to regret her actions for one moment. I think Naonka has a lot of maturing to do and it doesnt appear to be coming anytime soon.”
Yes, Jeff, it does make her a bad person. This whole season has shown how bad a person she really is. She’s a liar, a thief, is beyond selfish, and is just plain hateful. No, she didn’t regret her actions on the show and she never will understand why everyone else questioned her on it. She’s not the type to grow and mature so will be like this her whole sad little life. To think she’s a teacher, sigh....
You’re much more tolerant than I am.
