I will be handling this thread on a temporary basis only, and as time and health permits. You people are used to - and deserve - more. Hopefully, someone more qualified will step up and take this over. :)

Survivor: Nicaragua is the 21st season of Survivor. It will moving to Wednesday nights this season. In fact, it begins tonight, September 15, 2010, 8/7c.
The theme this season will be Young vs Old. The players will include a former NFL coach (Jimmy Johnson) and an amputee triathlete champion (Kelly Bruno).
From Wikipedia:
Survivor host Jeff Probst, has also announced that the Hidden Immunity Idol will continue to be used in the game. However, as idols have been found too easily the past two seasons (most often by Russell Hantz), or as the show's producers have dubbed it, "The Russell Factor", the idol will be hidden differently. The clues to the idols' locations will be visual rather than written as in past seasons. In addition, the tribes will be vying for control of a new item, the Medallion of Power, that, when used, gives an advantage in a challenge, but is then transferred to the other tribe.
Let's meet the players.
Here are photos of the players.
Listed below are links to player profiles. They include a video clip of the player, which is, unfortunately preceded by a short - but annoying - ad.
La Flor (age: 30 and under)
.
Espada (age: over 40)
If the spoilers are true..it looks like they are....watch the fall out next week.
Sash just screwed over Brenda..hahahahahahaha
I've gotta say though, that the person who wrote that song that I posted above mislead me to believe that Jane was responsible for the camp burning. Such was not the case that I saw tonight. It was a community effort. Did any real thought go into that???? Hello ... wood burns; and why in the world would you leave your food inside a trunk guarding a ground fire. Nitwits.
Seriously, lol. You knew that was going to happen. Did you see the glow of the fire on the chests immediately when they put them around it so close, hahahahahahahaha! No one thought, hey, it isn’t a good idea, lol.
The minute Jeff announced the IC, we both said this was Jane’s game and were cheering her on. Even Jeff wanted her to win. Woo hoo!!! Sadly, with this second win, she’s put a target on her back when she didn’t need to this time. She just earned herself a spot on the next All Star game. It’s now finally getting good this season.
Chase is such a blathering idiot but they’ll keep him around because of his dingyness. Ghetto and Sash just lost Brenda’s vote big time. They’ll be pushing for Sash to play the II but will probably be voting out, hmm, maybe Jane or Benry.
That was an IC designed for a short light person with a good grip. When they walked in I said Brenda and Jane should do good at this one. Opps, wrong, Brenda went pretty quick.
Yeah, that stacking wood boxes around the fire was one of the stupidest moves I’ve ever scene on Survivor.
I can understand how hard it is to start and keep a fire going in a rain storm but to walk off with the boxes around It?
How about keeping small tender and dry wood under the shelter to be used after rain storms? And when it’s raining and you have to leave came raking coals into a pile and putting a cast iron pot over them, cracked up a tad on one side? Duh.
Fire can be your greatest friend - and your greatest enemy.
Still no alliance scrambling yet. The lamb, Brenda, is picked sorta by consent and everyone lines up to help sharpen the knife.
Please feel free to post Survivor related items to this thread.

They are describing it this way in local CBS station guide:
“Survivor: NicaraguaSurvivor: Nicaragua We Did It Guys (New, TV-PG) A look at some new scenes that will shed light on the castaways and their decisions they’ve made throughout their time in the competition.”
The preview clips looked new but seeing this description - thanks to your alert - it looks like just an explanation of why this one hates that one and they voted as they did ... although the footage may be new, no progress or changes will be made.
I’ve always found the recaps to be full of interesting tidbits.
I’ll be there watching.
Briefly read a spoiler site.
At one point the cameras are shut down, survivors are lectured/threatened...lawsuits are worried about...CBS has a problem.
Can’t wait to see what this is all about...might not find out until after the finale.
It involves Sash.
Btw, watch out for Fabio. If you noticed in the hold onto the rope immunity challenge he looked left and right to see who was left..and dropped out.
He is playing low...goofy dumb under the radar..not showing his strength. The makings of a winner.
Last night's episode was, in fact, a recap episode with some scenes not previously shown.

Oooh, that'll be interesting. Wonder what Sash did? Lawsuits sound like Ghetto involvement.
Yeah, the two most likeable people are Jane and Fabio. They would NOT be who you want with you in the finals.
Rumor is that whatever happened freaked out Probst in a tribal council...he called in the Producer...not sure we will ever know what really went down since Jeff had the cameras turned off.
There is a lot of speculation that something was borderline illegal...perhaps like trying to fix the game... the guessing is all over the place..
I think it gets down to a he said /she said type of thing.
But everything they do is recorded so I am not sure how it all went down.
I hope someone leaks exactly what happened. Right now a person is just giving various hints. This person gives out the spoilers and is accurate.
If the winner spoiler is accurate...it makes for a good ending.
Yeah, I used to be on that site way back in the beginning before the little potty mouthed 14 year olds found it. I read through some of the spoilers but I can wait until the end. As for airing or not airing whatever it was, Barnett or Jeff need to at least issue a statement or they will lose credibility with the viewers if it’s that bad.
A new preview clip of tomorrow night's show reveals that two contestants might be quitting.
This is what I have been waiting for...
Finally I get to see it happen.
Were back with a regular episode next week and I must tell you it is one of my favorite episodes of the entire season! From start to finish I think it is really top notch!Heres a clue: I think a lot of you are going to be really thrilled by the episode.
