Most Effective President?
none | Self/Vanity

Posted on 09/12/2010 9:37:14 AM PDT by Seruzawa

I Don't often post vanities. However it's been almost a couple of years since BushII left the White House and I think it's time for me to give the devil his due.

I never cared much for BushII. Like his Dad he was a big social spender. One of his first acts was to double the funding for the Dept of Education, for example. I thought that going into the Middle East with ground troops to be a boneheaded move, mainly from a historical perspective in that every foreign occupier in that area got savaged endlessly.

On the plus he did keep taxes down. However as we've seen he didn't push hard enough to restrict the insane mortgage loan practices. But, like Nixon, he gave the libs something in return for less interference in foreign policy.

But looking at his entire record I have to admit that Dubya was arguably one of the most effective Presidents in history. He constantly out maneuvered the oh-so-much-smarter Rats. He knew just how to play them and like the legendary dumb hick he sent the libs home in a barrel most every time. All this in spite of his bitterly contested election victories and incessant claims if illegitimacy from the looney Rats. He also had to contend with the most vicious constant personal attacks from the Progressives and more than any Prez since Reagan he was blamed for every real or imaginary bad condition in the world.

He always made me laugh when he suckered the lefties. They used to call Reagan the Teflon President, but everything rolled off of Dubya and he never was a lame duck President. He was just as effective the day he left office as when he started.

So, Thanks George. You p1ssed me off a lot, but that's okay. Better a strong effective President who lets the world know where he stands even if he's wrong than some wishy-washy coward like Clinton, Carter and Obama. George at least you had balls. Anyone who is hated by George Soros and the Rats as much as you were is okay in my book.

Ditto.

George was not my favorite potus but he did do a lot of good things. I still love the landing on the carrier and “mission accomplished” photo. and, btw, look how he respected and treated our troops, either in theater or the wounded.

I still love the landing on the carrier and “mission accomplished” photo. Probably one of the defining moments of his Presidency with the added bonus of sending the liberals into convulsions. He did damm well in the face some of the worst opposition, foreign and domestic, since the Civil War.

At least you knew he was acting in his idea of the best interests of the USA. Unlike the current traitor/crying baby. Obama is a punk.

The family and I watched W last night. Oliver Stone and company tried to make a cartoon out of GW, but try as they might, he still comes out looking good. He goes down as one of the most admirable presidents , in my opinion.

If you want effective, try Eisenhower: for better or worse (or both), his Interstate Highway System has has a profound effect on America.

Yes, the ISHS moves illegals rapidly from the border to any number of states! Very effective!

Put an end to the Korean War too. Nothing like moving nukes into the theater to get the enemy's attention.

“mission accomplished”

Fact is, that mission was accomplished.

You talking about Ike? I’m not sure what he could have done about Tibet.

He did nothing for Tibet and he actively enabled Castro’s takeover of Cuba. He was strongly influenced by his brother’s covert leftwing associations.
