He should not step down. He should just not be elected Speaker in January.

The left reminds me of the prop comedian "Carrot Top"...they keep pulling gags out of their trunk, trying to get a laugh.

Someone should sing the song, "It's Too Late Baby, now, It's too Late...".

They are trying so hard to "un-ring" the bell that they've been gonging for months now. Reminds me of the used car salesman who offers you a free ballpoint pen to make up for the clunker he sold you.

I think "Botox" Pelosi is all over this:

Step down for what reason?

Let the stepping down come from the top - Barry. Ping me when there’s a thread about the NYT calling for Barry to step down.

Let's win the election first. We can argue over the menu later...right now we have to ensure that the guests show up for the banquet.

It doesn’t matter...

Any Republican is just another hussein with another face bringing complete marxism at a slower pace...

Of course the Democrat party, officially destroyed or not makes no diffreence—the “poor” will always be with us.

Those who want their King will see that we have it—come hell or high water.

John Boehner Pictures, Images and Photos

Just another quote in a long list of Boehner Boners. How he got in leadership is a mystery.

Boehner is exactly what is wrong with the GOP...many others need to go to...

I am opposed to this type of nonsense right now. We have an election to win, a madman to stop, a time enough to determine our leadership and — see steps above — show them how we will hold them accountable.

Rep Boehner should step down from party leadership after making the comments "If the only option I have is to vote for those at 250 and below, of course I'm going to do that. But I'm going to do everything I can to fight to make sure that we extend the current tax rates for all Americans".

I see nothing wrong with his comment. Politics is the art of the possible. Saving tax cuts for 90% taxpayers is better than not saving them for anyone.

As I have said before, I don't get the contempt for Boehner that is so common around here. For two reasons. First, he's no RINO. His lifetime ACU rating is in the mid 90s. Second, he has done an impressive job of holding the GOP caucus together. It's not easy to convince 178 people to all vote the same way. But he did it on important issues, like the healthcare debacle.

We could do a lot worse than Boehner in the speaker's chair.

Barry set a trap: force the Republicans to oppose a Democrat sponsored tax cut just before the election. By saying what he said, Boehner sprung the trap. Because of that, there will be NO Obama tax cut before the election, and Obama will have to veto the ones after, unless he is forced by public pressure to sign them.

Count me in!

What’s the use of regaining power when you will have John Bonehead as the leader.

Once he hains power he will cut off the Tea Party at it’s knees. Wait and see.

DUMP HIM!

I think Congress should pass a 500% tax on tanning salons—just for John Boehner

You and others here really, really need to learn to play poker, what goes on in DC is not always what you see or what someone says.
