Petition for Boehner to Step Down

Posted on 09/12/2010 9:10:52 AM PDT by GreaterSwiss

http://www.petitiononline.com/Boehner/petition.html

Rep Boehner should step down from party leadership after making the comments "If the only option I have is to vote for those at 250 and below, of course I'm going to do that. But I'm going to do everything I can to fight to make sure that we extend the current tax rates for all Americans". In his leadership place should be a real republican like Mike Pence.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

It took Progressive 100 years to get here - we can’t do it all at once. Obama is pimping the “middle class” so Boehner’s agreement takes the wind out of O’s sails.

Be patient - if conservatives try to change too much too soon the same thing will happen when Obama tried too much.

Don’t we have as much patience as the Progressives?

Ahhhh, I remember hearing this yesterday. The WH is going after Boehner!

They want us divided, folks. They are going to twist words so we get all riled up. I fell for it earlier today but I won't make that mistake again.

I see nothing wrong with his comment. Politics is the art of the possible. Saving tax cuts for 90% taxpayers is better than not saving them for anyone.

As I have said before, I don't get the contempt for Boehner that is so common around here. For two reasons. First, he's no RINO. His lifetime ACU rating is in the mid 90s. Second, he has done an impressive job of holding the GOP caucus together. It's not easy to convince 178 people to all vote the same way. But he did it on important issues, like the healthcare debacle.

We could do a lot worse than Boehner in the speaker's chair.

Barry set a trap: force the Republicans to oppose a Democrat sponsored tax cut just before the election. By saying what he said, Boehner sprung the trap. Because of that, there will be NO Obama tax cut before the election, and Obama will have to veto the ones after, unless he is forced by public pressure to sign them.

I may be wrong but I think Boehner is just calling Obamas bluff ....knowing Obama and moderate dems wont wrestle with this before the elections or if they do Republicans cant get blamed....it just makes this issue harder for dems

I hope so. In my book, patience is practically a synonym for persistence.

Count me in!

What’s the use of regaining power when you will have John Bonehead as the leader.

Once he hains power he will cut off the Tea Party at it’s knees. Wait and see.

DUMP HIM!

I think Congress should pass a 500% tax on tanning salons—just for John Boehner

Lets just take away all of their talking pionts by agreeing to their entire agenda!

Their entire agenda is to cast the GOP as the bad guys. They have nothing else left. I don't believe that just keeping the tax cuts for the middle class is the ONLY OPTION nor do I think Boehner believes that as well.

Did you ever in your wildest dreams think the Dems were not going to paint them as the bad guys? Hello, McFly! Is there anybody on there?

You and others here really, really need to learn to play poker, what goes on in DC is not always what you see or what someone says.

This is not the time for infighting. Defeating the Democrats should be our one and only focus.
