Obamacare won't be repealed (GOP likes the power they will inherit)
The New Republic ^ | 9/08/2010 | ak267

Health care reform repeal activist Michael Tanner complains that none of the Democrats who voted against the Affordable Care Act have signed on to repeal. Meanwhile, Republicans are decidedly lukewarm:

Among the six Republicans who have not signed either discharge petition are senatorial candidates Mark Kirk in Illinois and Mike Castle in Delaware. This is particularly surprising in the case of Kirk, who once vowed to “lead the effort” to repeal the health-care law.

He was “The Man!”.

The standard by which all “Statesmen” should be judged. Reagan too.

His type is few and far between, sadly.

I saw Cantor being asked by Laura Ingraham over this and Cantor was all wishy washy and all he would say is that they will try and defund it.

They better repeal this utter crap otherwise they can kiss their jobs good bye.

Saying that we have idiots voting in the likes of McCain, Graham and have Palin endorsing McCain, WTH was that all about too?

I like ramblers and ranters. Intelligent ones. I am.

Some of my posts go on and on and on. But that is because there is just SO many facts which must be presented to make a logical case.

You can’t just go “Cause I said so”. Well... you CAN... but it won’t convince anyone.

So I LIKE to read well thought out and articulated commentary.

Keep up the good work Hale !!

Well, I really don’t know what to say.

I don’t like ObamaCare for a multitude of reasons, and for a multitude of reasons concerning its passage, and for a multitude of reasons concerning its generation, and for a multitude of reasons concerning its [underlying] philosophy. (There’s too much ‘wrongness’ to get a good feel of where to start.)

As for things like the ever-increasing debt, wherein the later generations must pay for the current ones, I will merely note the injustice of requiring the children to pay for the sins of their fore-bearers... I believe that the people have every right to stop themselves, and their children, from being “sold into” economic slavery even by means of deadly violence.

What’s absolutely galling to me is the belligerent, arrogant attitude these cretins immediately took once they got in office.

I am looking forward to the November smackdown, if only to watch them cringe.

On the other hand...they are extremely dangerous right now, desperate, and we need to be very careful.

They have all the coercive, abusive power of “Der Staat” at their disposal and they will use whatever means they need to move their agenda forward. They’ve been whacking off and salivating over this scenario for well over 80 years now, and it’s slipping away.

Psychotics are always dangerous, but more so when they get found out.

I am far more worried about OUR cowards NOT doing ANYTHING to stop them in the Lame duck session.

Because if they get STOMPED.... like I think they are gonna get stomped... they will be so shell shocked as to feel TRAPPED and will ACT.

Normally they would “see the light”... these are NOT normal times and they have an agenda.

Ma’am you are correct.

We need spines right now in congress. The GOP better grow a “collective” spine and stick it to this feckless commie douchebag at every opportunity.

(pardon my vulgarity....I’m a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD boy...as Lou Costello sued to say).

But I have no faith in them at all. Well, maybe a few, but...we’ll see.

well all I can say is that lately Ive been looking more for a little higher leadership than the dumb@sses in DC, or frankfort or etc etc etc...

we will see how far down the path our nation as a whole has traveled over the next few months, at this point Im not sure that the fix aint in for an 'unexpected' turnout and rat seat increases...I dont think it really matters, cause the collective pair is nonexistant in the rin-o-p, and any true patriots are either overwhelmed or blackballed as soon as they hit office...

my cynisism is pegged out, and I simply will continue to ask "Thy Will be done" and prepare for the opportunity to be in the right place for His Glory, whatever that may be...

cornered animals are indeed very dangerous and unpredictable, get honest and humble, and listen for the answers...and BLOAT too, just in case...8^}

Okay, I see another scenario. The GOP (with few exceptions) doesn’t want a knock-down, draw-out fight. Preferably, they would like the courts/states to do the “hard work” and if successful, the GOP would claim credit and wipe their forheads in relief.

In the next few months, make it a BIG ISSUE on those who voted against Obamacare yet won’t sign the discharge petition to repeal the bill. And for God’s sakes, get rid of as many RINOs as possible. Give them the “Murkowski” treatment.
