Fox News reports, Bret Baier specifically, that 0's popularity in Martha's Vineyard has plummeted this summer over last. The measurement: sales of 0-themed t-shirts are way down! AND get this: "Miss Me Yet" Bush shirts are hot!
...Per Fox News...I am NOT making this up!
And WHO was Martha, anyway? Are there still vineyards on the island??
Election results coming in and got to say, Palin really pulls some clout, I like her, rather her than HIll-o-ree and when she runs for prez, she has my vote, tired of all these ‘hanger on’s’.
Been putting off cleaning my shack for two weeks now, hoping that GD would come over and to it but hey, she has her life and friends and boy does that phone ever ring with the boys calling. Love it, she don't cut them any slack.
So much of this, think that last cup shall be consumed, then down to business.

Maybe I should send Sarah down to clean your shack. She's a whirlwind when it comes to cleaning. She doesn't do it everyday, but when she does....get outta her way. ;-)

good morning everyone. Lysie, the roof project is going very slow. BUT, it is going PTL. My roofer is my friend, 71 years old & a slow but sure worker. I do clean up. If it were just “roofing” it would go fast but ALL the sub-roofing has to be removed -rotted- and replaced. I am grateful it is being done. The part over the dining room/kitchen areas that caved in last fall are being shingled now.
I have cut down my social activities drastically for the summer as I need to be here when John is for the most part. I do get out now & then during day if things come up but I have essentially eliminated the biking, kayaking, social groups that normally would be filling many afternoon hours.
Try to catch up here every couple days. Also at Amy’s & the Dose. Misc pings keep me “sorta” current
I am STILL looking at this breakfast..will be missing shotly fixing me some hen fruit...

I am told by Alaskan Freepers that a differnece of 1000 votes is often called a landslide - Joe Miller leads by a lot more than that.
An auto recount is triggered only when the difference is 1% or less.
We are going to go to town soon to find the red color that matches the ‘big house’ so we can paing my ‘shack in the back. SIL put a little picket fence across my porch, going to dig up a little area around the front to plant some flowers. Kids play things are just off my house so I can hear them talking, so cute....they try my front door bout ever 15 minutes to see if it comes open..andyes, I keep the flavored water in the fridge to ‘help them out’.

HOpe you can find a close match. With the distance between structures “close” will probably be fine.
My flower beds are pretty neglected this year. I try to weed now & then. Waiting for my first container tomatoes to redden.
Gotta run. My worker will be here shortly & I have a major task to do first.

I’ve never used it indoors. I’ve used the colored Kilz on flower pots, outside. It doesn’t sound too good indoors.

I just received a call from Newt's organization. The poor woman on the other side got an earful. I told her that while Newt is a very intelligent when it comes to the Constitution I am deeply disapppointed in Newt with him reaching out to the progressives. I asked to be taken off the list.
No Newt never! He just turns my stomach.
OK, y’all, I’m going to blow off some steam here. I got up on the wrong side of the bed (I almost said “blanket” but that isn’t the right connotation) and I’m just grumpy. But we’re out of some breakfast food and I need to get to the store. There aren’t many other customers in the store and the folks there are in the process of setting out the products for the day.
I DON’T THINK ANYONE FAILED TO COME BY ME AND GREET ME WITH A HAPPY CHEERY SMILE AND SOME WORDS OF GOOD WISHES.
I wanted to snarl at them. I’m in a snarly mood.
I did not.
But isn’t there some sort of sign I can wear that says, “Leave me alone. I’m grumpy today. It isn’t you.”
I smiled and answered everyone curteously.
I've had that happen numerous times. It makes us the better person by smiling and wishing everyone a good day..plus..it feels good!
I'm sure many people think I'm a loon, but I don't care.
