It's been a rough week for Fantasia Barrino.
The American Idol season 3 champ was hospitalized Monday in Charlotte, N.C., after overdosing on aspirin and a sleep aid, her manager Brian Dickens confirmed Tuesday.
"Her injuries are not life threatening. She was dehydrated and exhausted at the time," Dickens said. "Fantasia is stable now. She will be released from the hospital soon."
According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, the incident was classified as a suicide attempt. The police report lists Dickens as the reporting person and says Barrino was found with "possible internal injuries."

Overdose can be acute or chronic; that is, a person can overdose by taking one very large dose or smaller doses over a period of time. Acute overdose has a mortality rate of 2%. Chronic overdose is more commonly lethal with a mortality rate of 25%. The most common cause of death during an aspirin overdose is noncardiogenic pulmonary edema.
Anyway, goodnight, and be careful around bottles of aspirin, because it's contents can kill you if used improperly.

You can die from drinking too much water too. But that doens’t make me believe this story any.
Yes, drinking too much water can also be fatal. I’m not really concerned whether or not Fantasia tried to kill herself with aspirin, because she got caught being a slut trying to bust up a marriage, and now she is embarrassed and about to get her nasty ass sued. However, I am concerned when someone doesn’t believe an aspirin overdose is very dangerous to quite deadly, because it absolutely is.

I’ve heard that women are more likely to take pills as a suicide attempt due to ego...but still an OD of asprin is a VERY BAD way to go....APAP poisoning causes your liver to fail and you die an Extremely painfull death. I hope the Lady recovers....sad that her poor choices have brought her to this point..Hope she gets some help and finds some solace in the Lord..
