Post #67 Obama's compulsive need to make speeches(Vanity)
FR ^ | today | 240B

I am sure I am not saying anything you do not already know. But just to put it out there: In any setting, corporate, government, even social, when a person feels the need to constantly explain her/himself, they are expressing profound insecurity. A hero, a champion, a top performer simply preforms. There is no need for explanation because the results are apparent.

What we have from the man-child is an incessant need to explain to the public why he is so great and why what he has done so far has worked. If you have to explain it, then you have already lost.

Corollaries to Obama’s childish antics:

He argues constantly that his policies have worked and on the other hand, sometimes in the same sentence, he blames Bush or Republican or both for his policies not working.

He does not say plainly what he has done. He pleads. He begs you to believe him. This is a typical sign of a lie. If I ask where were you yesterday and you say, I was at the Mall. Ok That is the end of it. However, if you say, I was at the Mall. Really I was. I promise. I was there really. Then I have my doubts. If you have to ‘sell’ rather than ‘state’ a situation then there is a problem.

This is why he is never working. He is afraid of his job. Like an irresponsible child, he runs to what makes him ‘feel good’. In this case that would be carefully chosen adoring crowds and a fawning media. When he is at work, no matter who is in the room with him, no matter what the issue at hand, he is always the least qualified person in the room. Although his arrogance covers most of this, it eats at him. Eventually he needs another dose of adulation which he uses as a balm for his fragile and frightened ego.

Furthermore, when he is missing meetings and work while on a self-imposed junket across the nation, he gives himself, subliminally, an excuse for not attending all those meetings which intimidate him so much. Essentially, he is ‘running away’ in a very real sense. So no matter what decision is made, if the outcome is negative, he can always claim, I was out of town when they did that.

Obviously, in big-boy world this strategy can never work. But Obama has the mentality of a child and does not know that. In the end, he will be yelling, Why is everyone blaming me!? I was out of town when that happened.

Obama is a child. Eventually, we are all going to pay, Republican and Democrat, for putting this inexperienced, lazy, unqualified, rookie in charge of our country.

The sooner he is gone the better, not just for America, but for the whole world.

....the narcissists needs the public forum. It has nothing to do with policies or even fund raising, he needs and craves the feeling of importance. The security, special arraignments, the secretiveness, secret service scurrying about...ALL FOR HIM....then the applause......
How many times does he have to say, “It’s not about me”...???

Yeah.

You make a valid point BUT...

a top performer simply preforms

Preforms? What is that?

from the man-child is

Man-child is stolen from Limbaugh. Do you allow others to feed you phrases or do you come up with your own?

least qualified person in the room

Also stolen from Limbaugh. Do you allow others to feed you phrases or do you come up with your own?

All in all, not badly written. But allowing others to feed you catch phrases detracts. A lot.

for putting this inexperienced, lazy, unqualified, rookie in charge of our country.

Yeah, but, you forgot to mention that he's black, and to a lot of people, especially women, he's handsome; and hey, don't forget that he's "articulate", even if it's through a teleprompter. Those are great traits for a president, and the proof of that is that many in those constituencies continue buying his excuses.

Hey, give him a break.

We all steal catch phrases, and we all steal from the trend-setters like Limbaugh and Beck.

Also, misspelling is oftentimes forgivable when a person is typing in a hurry or does not proof-read. I’ve committed many typos myself although I consider myself a good speller.

Joe Biden said he is also ‘clean’. So, well, then he has to be president.

One of the funniest lines in the election was when Sharpton responded to Biden's remark by saying, "What does he mean Obama is clean? I take a shower every day!"

made me fall out of my chair laughing

“to a lot of people, especially women, he’s handsome”

Wow, some women must have a low bar for handsomeness. Never once have I entertained the idea he is “handsome.” His eyes look absolutely murderous to me, and his smile is totally fake and way, way too overdone for whatever situation he is smiling at. Add to that his feminine mannerisms, and it’s a real turn-off.

I called him a man-child long before I heard Rush using it. Who couldn’t help but think of it? He IS a man-child.

He would get over it if he ever listened to himself on a recording. When he talks he makes my skin crawl. I’m sure he would make his own skin crawl if he would just listen to himself one time.

Don't forget that there are women who are into mass-murderers and serial-rapists and wife-beaters. Some of them have even offered to marry that type in prison.

Ooooh!bama can't do any wrong by them.

Once again, good analysis. Explains the embrace of mediocrity.

Both are common phrases that probably couldn’t be attributed to Rush.

"This is why he is never working"

I think it is called 'avoidance'.

It is when you do all kinds of other stuff, to
look busy, except what you should be doing.

He is as happy as all-get-out that Reid & Pelosi
are so ambitious.

His next memoir will be titled:

"It Really, Really, Really Was Bush's Fault".

Wonderful observation brilliantly and concisely put.

when a person feels the need to constantly explain her/himself, they are expressing profound insecurity.

The second hander gains his sense of self-worth from prestige and popularity,in the minds of others regardless of their standard of judgment. He is the man who gets ahead by pull and not by work. His function is not to create, but to redistribute the wealth created by others. He is the leader who lives by initiating force against others.
