Ron Paul explains why we need to put our money in gold and how we can do that as America slowly drifts towards socialism.
I'm fully aware I can't change any one's mind about Dr. Paul on FR but please listen to this video you might agree with some of what he says.
PAUL’S A KOOK! < /S >
Here we go again ppl on FR making assumptions about Dr. Paul before watching the video and hearing what he has to say. I DONT AGREE W/ EVERYTHING HE SAYS BUT HE IS RIGHT ABOUT A LOT ESP. THE FED AND TAXES.
Thanks for the post. Ron Paul’s economic message is important. Whatever some might think, his campaigns have made a difference and America may some day realize his greatness.
Thats exactly how I feel. I’m 100% AGAINST everything he says about foreign policy BUT I’m 100% FOR all of his economics policies.
With gold hovering @ $1200 an ounce, it only common sense to focus on domestic gold production. It would solve a lot of problems....unless you struck oil in the process.
The only reason for the new $600+ reporting requirement to the IRS is for the government to effectively have “gold registration”. And the only reason for that is the possibility of gold confiscation.
So gold is a great investment, if you can smuggle it out of the US with your high tech US passport, and find a buyer who will give you a small percentage of its worth, and then probably rat you out to the US as well.
It’s called a “no win scenario”.
I refuse to give him credit for anything, including economic policy. Ron Paul is an egomaniac. There is nothing, including America and The Lord, that Ron Paul loves more than he loves himself. He is mentally ill.
They are registering gold buyers now? Reporting to the government? Sellers too?

“A blizzard of paperwork could be about to hit numismatics.
Passage by Congress of the national health care legislation has had an unintended consequence to the nations coin collectors, vest-pocket dealers who buy and sell coins, and larger dealers who are frequent buyers of coins that collectors periodically liquidate as they trade up their collections for better coins, or simply sell to take a small profit or loss.
What has happened is that effective Jan. 1, 2012, the whole system of giving and receiving Internal Revenue Service 1099 forms will be turned on its head and all persons (including corporations) who are in business will now have to give 1099 tax reporting forms for coins and other goods that they sell as well as buy.
The responsibility for issuing forms kicks in at $600 for coins or bullion not a very high level and one that has already started sounding alarm bells. It doesnt matter in what form payment is made, whether cash, check, credit card, or Yap stone money, the $600 threshold applies.”
Well, I listened and could not find a single thought. His speech is a religious one: "I believe in gold, and so should you," he says. And nothing else.
As for the video, if it did not look modern, I'd assume that it is from the Nazi archives. The horribly looking, necessarily fat bankers; the pictures of NYSE, which has nothing to do with gold or currency, the "workers" (German Volks, Lenin's proletariat), etc. are all from the playbook used by both Nazis and Soviet communists. In the background, Paul intones, "the well-connected bankers..."
You have to be more careful in choosing the company you keep.
OK so you disagree w/ me on Dr. Paul but what about buying gold? You cant deny the dollar will crash at any day now and America is moving towards socialism. The red flag will be hoisted over Washington maybe tomorrow. we need to end the fed, go back to gold/silver and revive the Constitution.
That’s bad. Very very bad.
OK you dont like the video but can you deny Paul is wrong about the FED and gold and inflation?
